Drug info - Anything for phone anxiety?

SWIM is having phone anxiety when calling girls he meet at the club lol. Anything SWIM should take? SWIM tried 5-HTP, but it gave him a headache.

Uh, honestly, SWIM recommends a beer or two, not an anti-depression or anxiety regiment.

Agreed. Just get something in you to "loosen you up". SSRIs and the like are not to be toyed with, and quite frankly, are a pain.

The only thing SWIM would possibly recommend would be a gaba antagonist, IE xanax, valium, etc.

But, I highly doubt your anxiety is sufficiently affective to require treatment... There are some things that you need to learn to do and control on your own, or you never will.

I highly doubt any sensible psychiatrist will prescribe you anything. Let alone a SSRI (altough they give em out like candy), you dont need more stimulation, you want your inhibitions to calm down and your brain to think less, not more

This may sound somewhat ridiculous, but during my first relationship whenever we'd talk on the phone I'd play Super Mario Bros at the same time on my computer to distract myself from the anxiety haha. Who knows it could work for you too.

Gabapentin is another option I suppose, gotta be careful with that one though. Maybe 100 - 300mg?
