Pharmacology - plz answer, question about withdrawals

okay so heres the deal, ive been using oxy about 40mg a day for the past 5 days. i dont plan on using tommorow or until the weekend should i expect to go thru any minor withdrawals and if spo how long should i wait until i can start to use again??!!

Maybe...MAYBE, SWIY can expect some sleeplessness and minor discomfort, nothing worthe worrying about though as some tylenol during the day and some tylenol PM at night should do SWIY just fine.

absolutely, SWIM uses everyday, and has for over 2 years now. He takes at least 50mg a day and usual up to 120 to 150mg/day. 5 days is a very small amount of time to expect much build up of tolerance. SWIM took 10mg/day for a few months before he had to increase his dosing.

More than likely, SWIY will not go through any type of withdrawal. However, if one keeps up this type of behavior of using 5 days in a row every week or so, then once can expect withdrawals to develop. Instead of using 5 days in a row, try spacing out one's uses such as using only twice a week. One still needs to be very cautious as an opiate addiction can sneak up on ya...

swim used everyday for approximately 1.5 months and quit cold turkey one day. the worst withdrawal symptoms he experienced was anxiety and diarhhea which went away within a few days

It varys so much from person to person, i used for about 3 months about 5 times out of 7 days and i had no pills left and i felt not w/d symptoms, for me it took about 6months of use to even withdrawals and thats when i started using daily.

How is OP using the drug? Oral ingestion, snorting, iv? Usually when taking prescribed doses as labeled oxycodone takes 3 weeks for the average patient to build up dependence and experience withdrawal.

Using drugs with moderation and having the willpower to do so is what makes a responsible drug user. Phazes advice would be to only use once a week if necessary ( for recreation); If this is prescribed then use as directed until pain or symptoms are relieved. This is on phazes list as a pretty serious drug(which means he will never do it), as some label it hillbilly heroin even.

Not to scaremonger, but rather as a precaution if OP does keep taking everyday they will experience withdrawal eventually and it's a very hectic experience which he will undoubtably regret. Not to mention once addiction sets in it wil be very hard to kick the habit.

the man above speaks the truth, you have to ask your self are you afraid of becoming addicted? I wasn't and chose to continue taking my morphine because of many reasons, but if your taking this drug for recreation and purchasing it illegally problems will arise. I don't take my morphine illegal, so for me i get my drugs for free, which on the street would cost a hell of alot more this is one problem a drug user will have if its illegally consumed. You will be paying large amounts of cash for your drugs, and as addiction sets in it will drain your bank account amazingly fast dependence builds, and so will the price your pay for your drugs, that's another big problem. The next thing to think about is once your in deep you will run out of your drugs eventually and it will feel like the world is ending more so if your no you have no more money, or your connect is gone what will you do then? If your already an immoral person then stealing obviously is an option, but don't think that everyone who is hooked on drugs will resort to stealing when there out of the drugs, and or money. Ive been in that situation before, and ive never stolen so don't think the drug will change your morals. Truthfully i wouldn't have let me self become hooked if i were having to worry about those things. But because i get them for free, and do need them to some extent and also i never have to worry about my connection being lost because its my doctor, and i have a legit cause to take them with 10 years of documentation backing me up im not worried. Think it over seriously, it could change your life for the better or worse.
