Addiction - taking suboxone while still high

Ok swim know it sounds crazy, but swim was trying to prove to myswim's mom that swim was taking swim's suboxone and not getting high. Anyway so swim was real fucking high off dope when swim's mother confronted swim. Anyway so swim said yah swim is taking the suboxone, just look, so swim put the 8 mg pill in swim's mouth and then immediately swallowed it pretending that the sour taste was nasty. So swim didn't feel anything for about 2 hours or so, and then swim could literally feel the heroin being knocked off swim's receptor's and the beup attaching in their place. I liken it to when swim was rolling off ecstacy one time and proceeded to take some LSD. Well swim went from being very happy to very unhappy as the ecstacy was no longer affecting swim and the acid took its place. Anyway, swim did not get sick and the suboxone effect was very strong. Does anyone have an opinion on why this happened? Because swim was very high so the dope was still working until the suboxone took effect without putting swim into withdrawals. Or was it because swim swallowed the pill instead of placing it under the tongue. Swim thinks it might have been a combination of the two. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated so swim could avoid waiting to be really sick next time until swim can take the suboxone. Also b/c the last few times, swim didn't wait long enough and the suboxone precipitated withdrawals.
