Clonazepam for Alcohol Withdrawl and Detox

So swim tried to post something on another message board asking about the use of klonopin for alcohol withdrawl and was told they could not give out medical advise. Swim would like to make it clear swim is not asking for medical advice just opinions or personal experiences with klonopin. Previously swim has been prescribed ativan 3 a day for 7 days and valium 10mg 3 a day for seven days for outpatient detox. Swim is wondering is klonopin is a vaible medication to control DT's and if the dosing would be similar. So far swim has remained 46 hours without alcohol. The first day swim took 4 mg's throughout the day and had somewhat trouble sleeping but an extreme fatigue the morning after. Today swim has had 3 mg's and has some mild head ache but may be unrelated. Anyways swim has heard day 3 and 4 can be the worst so if anyone has any expierence withdrawling from alcohol with klonopin (or other benzos and at what dose) swim would like to know.
