Possible Interaction between Salvia & St. John's Wort
SWIM is very interested in trying out salvia and has done his research for quite some time now. One thing that has caught his attention is that he has seen warnings about doing salvia while on mao-inhibitors. SWIM's question is could the fact that he takes St. John's Wort cause a problem when he smokes Salvia?
Swim noticed in a thread in this very forum that someone had a friend who said that they might have had a possible reaction but they didn't say much. Any input and advice is very much appreciated by SWIM.

It is recommended that one stops taking an MAOI or SSRI before taking salvia for about two weeks. SWIM always recommends this for any chemical because nearly all substances deal with dopamine and serotonin and for that reason, it is best to allow the substance to do what it was meant to do and not interfere with some other stuff.
