Effects - What makes lsd unique?

Swim has never tried LSD but swim's friend knows a dealer who claims to have some. Swim has used mescaline 4 times but has never felt the profound feeling so many seem to describe, is there a reason for this? Also, swim has never had a bad trip on mescaline and wants to avoid this with acid too, should he make any specific arrangements to set and setting which would help avoid this as he has heard acid can turn into a bad trip much more easily?

TO SWIY:
-have a very close friend with you
-prepare for 12 hours a place where you won't be bothered
-have plenty of liquids and if possible fresh fruit
-have materials for creativity on hand (musical instruments, art supplies, etc.)

SWIM's first LSD trips were very introspective and profound, it might be useful to have pen and paper at hand to record SWIY's insights.

Need music!!! in swims opinion taking LSD without music is hell, swim always feels different when the music has stopped and if it stops for too long swim can feel himself getting pissed off. Make sure everything you need is set up and ready - have desired CDs organized so you can easily find what your looking for, if you use a PC to play music make sure the PC is set up correctly and wont go wrong halfway through the trip. Swim made the mistake of reinstalling windows and taking acid straight after, swim spent about an hour into the peak of the trip trying to install drivers and software etc it got extremely confusing but it had to be done cos all his music is on his PC.

Another thing is - dont take LSD if you dont want people to know you're on LSD (eg parents) trying to hide the fact that you're high will cause you to panic, which will make you look even more high

LSD forces you to think (at a very fast pace) of some of the most profound and bizarre things you may or may not ever want to think about. It's very complex. Some people get scared because they cannot control their racing mind. That is the big "danger," which is what makes it so fun, ISO. Some consider it a "bad trip" when they take too much and that feeling becomes too overwhelming. SWIM considers that a challenge he's always enjoyed. SWIM is a control freak, and is very good at controlling his mind. LSD is just an entertaining exercise to SWIM.
