Effects - Whats the difference between dihydrocodeine and Codeine?

SWIM used to do desperate things like perform CWE's on pills containing codeine when she was suffering w/d from heroin to try and get some relief but she knew it was largely pointless because of the amount needed. SWIM believes, if she's read and learnt correctly, that although codeine converts into morphine in the body 10mg of codeine produces just 1mg of morphine (so 100mgs of codeine produces 10mgs of morphine and so on).
If she's heard correctly dihydrocodeine is a slightly stronger form of codeine. Is this correct? So if SWIM had 10mgs of dihydrocodeine how much morphine would this be equivalent to in the user's body?
The only reason SWIM asks and is interested is because recently SWIM was suffering from quite bad w/d from heroin as she was stuck in Jersey, couldn't score (well, she was supposed to be trying to get clean) and had run out of the morphine tablets which she'd taken with her to stave off the w/d symptoms. Anyway, SWIM was able to get her hands on some Co-dydramol, which were 500mgs paracetamol and 10mgs dihydrocodeine. SWIM presumed the conversion (to morphine) rates to be the same as with codeine (so 10mgs would be just 1mg), but she really did seem to get some quite effective relief from taking these tablets. So ... has she got it wrong? Is dihdrocodeine very different from codeine? Can anyone explain?

Dihydrocodeine is part of the codeine family like Hydrocodone and Oxycodone. Swim has heard that dihydrocodeine is double the strength of codeine and his personal experience would say it might be even a little stronger than that. Sorry i cant be of more help.
