Health - drinking after pancreatitis

I used to drink heavilyfrom the age of16 until I was 18 when I had to be hospitalized for a week with pancreatitis. The doctor told me he has never had a patient so young with pancreatitis, let alone the extent to which the disease had progressed. He told me, as far as I can remember that the normal level of pancreatic enzymes is usually around the hundreds, but mine were extremely high around 1,000. Its been five months since I was released and I have had a few drinks now and then, not much at all though, 12 drinks at the most a month. I was just curious if it there is high probability I will develop the disease again if I continue to drink because I do like getting smashed every once in a while and it would be nice to be able to do it now & then. During the time when I was drinking heavy before this disease occurred I was also not eating for days at a time and got to a point where I was drinking bottles, and sometimes handles a day. If anyone has had experience with this disease please respond, itwould be very helpful& well appreciated. Thanks.
