Black Tar Heroin

The only smack swims tried is brown rice flour looking powder. He's fascinated by this black tar heroin stuff though. Is black tar smack produced by acetylating raw opium or something? Would that mean theres also codeine, thebaine, papaverine and they're acetylated relatives present aswell?
