relative hypnotic strength between nitrazepam, nimetazepam and flunitrazepam?

Is there some data on relative sedative-hypnotic potency comparing nitrazepam, nimetazepam and flunitrazepam?

Re: relative hypnotic strength between nitrazepam, nimetazepam and flunitrazepam?

Flunitrazepam is significantly more potent than either nitrazepam or nimetazepam. Several (most) sources list its potency as approximately 10-fold that of diazepam (i.e. 1mg flunitrazepam: 10mg diazepam), while some list it as closer to 5-times the potency of diazepam (i.e. 1mg flunitrazepam: 5mg diazepam).

Nitrazepam and nimetazepam seem relatively comparable in terms of potency based on experimental ED50s and commonly prescribed dosages. Their relative potencies are approximately equal to that of diazepam (i.e. 10mg nitrazepam: 10mg nimetazepam: 10mg diazepam).

Nimetazepam appears to have the shortest half-life (mean = a little under 18hrs). Nitrazepam and flunitrazepam* both have half-lives that are a bit longer (28 and 22 respectively).

*Note: Flunitrazepam has an active metabolite, N-desmethyl-flunitrazepam, which has a half-life of 36-200 hours. As such, its effects may last well into the day following administration, especially in higher doses.

Yes, SWIM saw, but the Tyrant didn't give numeric variances.
