Swim just did a CWE and this time he was determined to filter out ALL suspended particles and it took 5 filtrations (maybe he needs better coffee filters) and this time he realized that the extreme bitter taste wasn't caused by the filter paper because he filtered more than ever this time and there was only a mild taste this time.

Could the strong taste swim got previous times be the taste of acetaminophen? This time there were NO suspended particles left and the solution wasn't very cloudy at all. Swim should mention that the taste is the exact same taste only its alot milder this time. When swim drank a cloudy solution in the past it had a much stronger chemical taste to it.

No wonder it took 5 filtrations. Swim hopes it isn't irreversible liver damage this stuff causes because swims aware now that he's probably consumed large quantities of APAP.

Don't stress too much. Irreversible liver damage is caused by at least 8 grams of APAP, although some will remain if the CWE is imperfect the vast majority of it will be filtered out. I always thought opiates tasted bitter- which is why codeine linctus was so undrinkable for many people- but the APAP may not exactly be palatable either.

The great thing about the liver is it can regenerate itself if given enough time and freedom from poisons. The reason permanent damage happens is either you die before it can regenerate or you completely kill it, in which cause you will die without a liver transplant. Your best bet is to go and get a liver panel done and check you enzymes if have been using quite a bit. Best of luck.

True, I think you can damage roughly two thirds of your liver and it will still regenerate given time. There's a character in Greek mythology, Prometheus, who was condemned to be tied to a rock and have his liver eaten out by eagles during the day, only for it to grow back during the night and so the cycle continued.
Opiates in general taste bitter, with CWE, the clearer your solution the less 'other' shit there is in it. So, filter, filter, filter. Also, nice and cold is important, as is not using way too much water. But then, you've already read that haven't you.

Good to hear. Swim doesn't abuse his liver on a regular basis at all so he's probably fine.

Yeah swim had the right idea he just had the wrong filters. Swim would much rather extract crystals than play around with this CWE bullshit he's gonna look into full on extraction of codeine phosphate.

Fair enough mate. swim doesn't really bother with codeine much these days, but there are a few posts on here re making freebase codeine from a CWE. This, of course, provided one had access to certain chemicals and equipment, would be the first step to making morphine.
Interestingly enough, most pharmaceutical codeine is made from morphine. Shame really, seems like such a waste!!!

Where swim might be, it's more the obtaining of the necessary chemicals that's the problem. Not a topic for this thread though I suppose.

Swims first time doin the cwe when drinking the solution almost made him throw up the taste was so bad. Now he can drink it no problems without even chasing it with some juice lol. Not sure if this is a good thing tho lol

Pyridine HCl can be used to demethylate the codeine. Swim hears pyridine can be synthesized by boiling niacin in spearmint oil. Swim doesn't have the chemistry knowledge to verify this so was hoping someone who does can.
