What is wrong with swims body?
For some background info:
Swim’s age: 24 Swim’s weight: 195 (muscular build, height = 6’1”) Swim’s drug experiences: alcohol (once a week), caffeine (daily), occasional pot, occasional tobacco, occasional Kratom, very occasional benzos, and a bit of experimentation with opiates, amphetamines (this post is about swims first experiment with amphetamines) and various other drugs. Swim snorted 80mg of dexedrine I.R. over the course of four hours and feels nothing more than really awake… similar to the feeling swim gets after chugging four redbulls. Because swim did want to get high, he also drank 25g of kratom tea (25g's is a low dose for swim, he usually takes 50g to get decently kratomized) and snorted 300mg of bupropion (swim takes 100mg buproprin twice per day regularly, but this is the first time he has snorted it and also his first time taking it for recreational purposes.) Swim found out that some people get seizures on large doses of bupropion so he decided to quit after 300mg. Swim has felt no effects from the kratom and none from the bupropion either. Swim is bummed, he got no euphoria, not even much of a sense of well being. He only feels awake, like he has had too much coffee or redbull, the stim effects are also causing a bit of teeth grinding, which swim easily solved with gum. What is wrong with swim’s body? Does he simply have a super high natural tolerance for EVERY drug? Or could he be doing something wrong? Swim will greatly appreciate any feedback! Thanks! Mystopia2000 added 1235 Minutes and 43 Seconds later... Swim’s night was not over after he posted this thread, in fact, it was just beginning. This post covers the rest of swim’s experience… What more did swim take after the OP was posted? Swim really wanted a good experience with Dexedrine. The original thought of 'Get high or bust' became an afterthought later in the night and swim forgot about all other drugs and focused his attention on Dexedrine. Between the time of the thread opening (11:35 pm last night) and today at 1:00pm, swim took an additional 270 mg of Dexedrine for a total of 350 mg over 17 hours (remember, this was swim's first experience with any amphetamine.) For those additional 270 mg's, swim experimented with different modes of consumption (he had enough snorting after the first 80 mgs.) He tried: Chewing and swallowing (and chasing with water) 40 mg handfuls of tabs after taking three Tums antacids 15 minutes prior. He also tried plugging Dexedrine a couple different ways – the first time, he just stuck 30 mg's of tabs in his butt; he didn’t like that much so next he turned 60 mg of Dexedrine tabs into powder, as well as three Tums antacids; he mixed the powder in about 2 oz water. He got the liquid into his rectum using a funnel with an attached straw (picture an ass taking a hit from a mini beer-bong.) Believe it or not, Swim did this twice and actually kind of enjoyed doing it; it took swim lots of k-y jelly (left at swim’s by an ex gf) as well as swim performing many minutes of mental relaxation techniques to get his sphincter to relax enough to jam a straw in (swim says "straw edges are surprisingly sharp!). Swim also tried rubbing 5 mg's of Dexedrine powder over his gums... he had it on there for about 60 seconds before swallowing the powder with a glass of water - it did not turn out to be one of swims preferred method of ingestion. Now the real question: How did the 350 mg's of Dexedrine affect swim? The short answer - he was super disappointed! Swim has formed a crazy notion that he did not have a good time with the Dexedrine because he was over stimulated by it and somehow missed out on the majority (and the best) of its positive effects. Here are the effects swim can remember experiencing during those 17 hours: 1. Loss of appetite 2. nausea 3. restlessness 4. racing heart 5. insomnia 6. cold sweats 7. fever symptoms including headache 8. increased energy (dirty; not smooth) 9. a slight increase in self confidence 10. a slight dilation of the pupils, but not enough to look altered 11. overly alert (counterproductive, could not focus on one thing) 12. Subjective (maybe not?) fluctuations in body temperature 13. a numb and tingling feeling in the body that was heightened when Swim touched himself (especially on the top of the head.) (Swim is not sure weather or not the majority of people enjoy this effect of Dexedrine. Swim doesn't mind it unless it is paired with cold sweats or nausea, in which case it is a noosense.) Effects that were notably missing: 1. euphoria 2. highly dilated pupils (which swim expected to reflect his state) 3. increased sense of well-being 4. functional alertness 5. increased libido/sexual function 6. noticeable impairment Swim just kept taking more and more Dexedrine because he never felt, seemed, or looked impaired (pupil dilation was minor) and thought that the next dose might just push him over the edge into a sea of euphoric feelings and all the other positive Dexedrine effects. It never happened. Swim checked his pulse over the course of the 17 hours to confirm what his body was already feeling - he was indeed heavily-stimulated, perhaps over-stimulated. Swim's pulse was between 100 and 150 BPM every time he checked. Swim also just checked his pulse now (over six hours since last Dexedrine dose) and it is still 100 BPM (Swims resting heart rate is normally 55 BPM.) The lack of a desire for sleep and for food is kind of scary for swim; he has now been awake for 36 hours straight and still has no desire to sleep. He has eaten just one Taco Bell burrito (7-layer) since noon on Monday (1 burrito in over 30 hours.) This burrito was eaten about an hour ago and a strange thing happened about 5 minutes after swim finished - his metabolism seemed to 'wake up.' His nose began to run uncontrollably, his bowls started churning (which made him suddenly have to poop) and his thoughts became slightly clearer. It was an interesting sensation to Swim, it’s not necessarily something he is excited about, but he is happy that his body jumped back into gear. Please help swim out by sharing your wisdom! He has had a confusing and mostly negative experience with a drug that seems to have some potential. Here are swims main questions: Why, after taking repeated high doses (supposedly high doses for the first time amph user) of Dexedrine, does swim feel stimed-up like he swallowed a handful of ephedrine/caffeine diet pills, but doesn’t feel much, if any, of the positive psychological effects that many others experience when taking Dexedrine? How can swim fix this problem? (he wants to increase the positive psychological effects while not letting the physical stimulant effects get out of hand.) I very much look forward to your responses.
