Any drugs for loosing weight?

My friend is wondering if there are any kinds of drugs (herbal, chemical, legal (PREFERED), illegal) wich are helping to loose weight because you don't feel your hunger anymore?
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

This is a negative side-effect for him, however.

Well, then there's likely a good reason for that being so then. Perhaps SWIY is already thin enough or has a medical condition which makes it a contraindication or they're a minor who should have the motivation to get out and go for a run, LOL.

Any kind of amphetamine will stunt your hunger and if you're looking for a legal alternative than even though i dont reccomend it. Start smoking tobacco as it seems to always cut off Swims appetite and your food doesn't digest as well either.

if it's nicotine you need you can get patches,gum,even these fake cigarette tube thingy's which give you nicotine wouldn't advise it tho you know they say nicotine can be harder to kick than H only wat swim has heard tho....

yeah, that's a great idea ! using a patch is even better than chewing tobacco, specially when swim is not used to the taste of tobacco!
It can't be true that nicotine is harder than H ! Under this circumstances all the H-junkies would switch to nicotine

pfffft all swim can say is he is a heavy smoker and can get realy pissed off without his cigerettes it wouldn't supprise me if you had the same effect from taking nicotine all the time they are suppose to help u finish smokeing by reduceing the nictoine over a period of time so god knows what long term use of them could do probably just realy bad mood swings if u don't get ur nicotine in time if swiy realy needs to do it swiy could just go to the drug store go to the quite smoking section and check the back of the packets..... swim wouldn't realy advise you to do this swiy would proably be a happier person by actualy doing some sort of active sport or summin...

Nutrisystem makes a gum you get at walmart and it kills sugar cravings. Spearmint taste but hard to get used to at first. Everything else doesn't help swim.

These have already been mentioned. But to add to this note SWIM has lost weight very quickly when using stimulants, not completely from eating less but he suspects they must speed the metabolism too. Coca might be an herb to look into, or yerb mate. He isn't completely familiar with them but coca tea has helped surpress SWIMs appetite before and other herbs might be something worth looking into.

Attached is a study from 2008 on the ability of Ibogaine to treat obesity.

I know this isn't a very realistic alternative, but believe it or not, Ibogaine (18-MC, a derivative of Ibogaine) has been shown to reduce appetite regardless of caloric value (in rats, but thats how all of these studies start). In other words, obese rats were shown to turn offers of food that were high in palpable sugars (sucrose, saccharin) down far more than expected when treated with Ibogaine. Strangely, it inspired increased consumption of a combination of solely water and Ibogaine - they don't discuss that. Maybe Ibogaine is rewarding?

The researchers suggest that the compound works via the nicotinic receptors, which are involved in the regulation of appetite. Kind of makes sense too; cigarettes are infamous appetite suppressants, and primarily operate via nicotine. Their primary concept is that the drug elicits a change in flavor perception or the neurotransmission of reward associated to food.

There are two specific parts of the paper that are particularly relevant that one might check out if interested:

Figure 8A shows a marked decrease of water with sucrose and Ibogaine compared to water with only sucrose. Pretty convincing.

Figure 10 shows an end-product weight analysis of rats treated with Ibogaine compared to untreated. There is a clear reduction of fat deposits in rats treated with Ibogaine.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble reading the file. Apparently some members' computers are having trouble reading some of the files that I've uploaded, while most newer computers don't appear to have an issue. My guess is that it is a compatibility issue regarding characters - the computers that are able to read the characters used in the PDF files will be fine, while those computers lacking recognition for the characters will default to symbols. I don't know why this would have happened; the exact same files received from PubMed/Medline are being uploaded to this forum.

If anyone has any idea how to solve this issue, please let me know and I'll fix it as soon as possible!

After doing a little internet-ing, I've actually found that this is becoming an increasingly common problem across numerous forums that trade PDFs. Even on the Adobe forums. Go figure.
There doesn't appear to be any good solution to the problem yet, either - apparently once Adobe went beyond version 6, embedded fonts became quite difficult to extract from pdf files. When the PDF files are produced from a 3rd party source (not sure what this means - maybe outside of NCBI or NIH?), the fonts used aren't the ones typically used to produce the vast majority of PDF files. Their suggested solution is to obtain Adobe Reader Version 6. Disappointing, eh?

If SWIY is after legal drugs, mephedrone might be worth a shot - but be aware, it is a strong stimulant, probably not a great idea to go using it day in, day out for any length of time.

I think I heard of some people using yohimbe (also legal) as a weight-loss supplement...it's also a stim, though less strong than any amphetamines, more like strong coffee.

But I'd have to agree with whoever said it's a dangerous path to rely on drugs for weight regulation - remember Sarah Goldfarb in Requiem For A Dream? OK, so obviously that's not gonna happen to you, but all the same it might be worth hunting down something more like a supplement or vitamin product rather than harsh drugs like stimulants.

SWIM sure does, having watched this movie a month ago and became so hypnotized by its elegiac brilliance that SWIM started writing a novel which would effectively be R.F.A.D 2 with different characters (of course not called that, in case a publisher ever gets interested and copyright comes into play.) Coincidentally SWIM saw an original poster for RFAD next to Leon the Professional and Scarface in an old cinema today...
Like nearly all dramas, it exaggerates though. Six months of Preludin and Dexedrines ("purple in the morning" and "orange at night", don't know what the blue one was) are surely not going to lead to such psychosis that one becomes permanently hospitalized in a mental home, unless there is a pre-existing mental trauma to exacerbate. Especially as Sara was only using pharm strength tablets while many people inject 500-1000mg street speed or smoke 200 mg of crystal meth for years with no psychosis.

Yeah, this is so true!
Last year my friend told me that he arranged an ECA stack, one which contained real ephedrine hcl (because there are also some fake ECA stacks!)
Nevertheless, he has never taken it cause his trainer told him that it wouldn't be good for him cause had such a sensitive body which couldn't cope with it.
But still, my friend is pretty curious about ECA stacks. He thinks that this could really work on him.
