Oral use - DMT trip without the PURGE

SWIM recently did an ayahuasca brew using 40g of MHRB.

The end product was a nasty purple/red drink.

The product was split between two people.

SWIM also prepared a (not very good) extraction of syrian rue
(first time extraction, the end product was what was desired but the extraction just seemed sloppy)

So the 2 people took the extracted rue (equivalent to about 2g syrian rue)

+1h the 2 people got extremely blazed due to a run in with a friend

+1.5h initial effects, feeling of internal energy, some visuals equal to the come down of smoking dmt

+3h trip has ended

+3.5h only had Naked Juice in the fridge, so drank some even though it contained bananas (cant combine that with rue) but swim just no longer gave a fuck

+3.55h immediately started tripping again, swim drew pictures of trees with ash on his desk

+4.5h 2nd trip has ended

The other person reported tripping only once but for sure did trip

the questions

Why was there no purge yet there was a trip?
Mild nausea was felt when the rue was taken but was gone by the time the brew was drank

Also wtf was up with the 2nd trip after eating?

This is SWIMS first (successful) ayahuasca trip so he does not have anything to compare to
