Setting - Tripping on Mushrooms with Family

swim wanted to know if anyone has used mushrooms with family members (parents/siblings/extended) and how this was approached, and if the experience was beneficial.
swim has been using mushrooms for awhile, and would like to introduce his father to them. his father has expressed interest, and swim would like some advice in guiding his father--needless to say, a person extremely important to him--on a good, positive experience. thanks!

SWIM comes from a family of trippers. So far she has tripped with her sister and her sisters adult son, her other sisters adult daughters, Her cousin and a second cousin, her husband and adult SWIMs adult son. An early dinner and a nap followed by LSD, mushrooms, or favorite RC became a Thanksgiving tradition about 8 years ago. Just be sure to properly prepare. SWIM suggest:

Be clear in explaining to you father what to expect. Maybe have him read some of the trip reports on DF
Lots of rest before hand
Location or time when there wont be phone calls or unexpected guests
No plans or obligations for the day after
Keep the number of people very low and limit to only those your father is familiar with
Be sure everyone there is comfortable with each other
Be in tune with what your father is comfortable with be open to listening to some of his music of choice
Remember to take joy in the experience

SWIM hopes it will bring the two of you closer as it has in her own family.

Wow! SWIM thinks he might just need to be the sober sitter for the first time, one on one in the garden just outside the house. Quite an amazing Thanksgiving event that would turn out to be!
