Post The Benzo Holy Grail

Since there was a similar thread in regards to such in the opiate forums, SWIM felt like there could be an interesting thread in regards to benzos since there are so many different benzos used legally across the world, with each country having benzos that are not available in other countries. So, for all you benzo fans, what would you consider the holy grail of benzos? SWIM had thought nimtazepam in her personal opinion, although she has never had the opportunity to try flunitrazepam as it is illegal in her country.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

Nasal insufflation of temazepam is EXTREMELY euphoric to SWIM. But SWIM's friend tried it too (he also has anxiety) and said he preferred plain alprazolam.

I guess it's subjective to each individual's brain chemistry.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

Snorting temazepam? I suppose since it would be the US it will be capsule form, right? In the UK it's usually relatively large tablets (probably to discourage the crush injection method). My fiend has seen people snort diazepam and it is a LOT of powder, the other thing is it is not water soluble and i am not convinced it would be absorbed in the mucous membrane and eventually end up in the stomach.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

10mg of alprazolam will have SWIM in so much benzo-bliss that he would swear off opiates any day. If he had enough benzos to sustain that kind of habit (i.e. 30mg alprazolam/day) then he would never touch an opiate, stimulant, alcohol, or any other drug again.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

the holy grail of benzo's? that's sort of like an oxy-moron....benzo's aren't good enough to merit their own holy grail thread. but then again, that might just be the 4 0.5mg xanax tabs talking...

the holy grail would be xanny bars or 10mg valiums

Wink Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

if the tyrant could engage a capable chemist, then he would design himself
let's say 10 different benzos (after doing a bit more research).
the chemist would have a nice set up lab in tt's house and for the beginning
only would have to synthesize 1.000 - 10.000 mg of each substance.
the tyrant would try them in self-experiments, using the best scale for
weighing powders in the microgramms range.
if at least 3 of tyrants benzos work as they were expected, or even surprise
with better or new effects, that would then be the Benzo Holy Grail to
the little tyrant. and by the way, if surprisingly the "as perfect as possible"
benzo would emerge, the tyrant would not try to make money out of it.
well, not lots of money, you know...

he would let biggest batches being produced and get the BD licensed for
the market.
it then would be affordable like aspirin generics, so everyone in need of the
new wonder drug could buy it. and people living from welfare would have it
for free (in limited amounts).

but, to be true, the tyrant thinks that benzodiazepines will lose their im-
portance in medicine within the next 10 - 15 years. as now scientists
begin to understand the GABA system in human more and more, tt guesses
that a few benzos will survive and lots of BD stuff will be prescribed less...
and more less...then much less...then disappearing from the market com-
pletely. maybe uncle fester has a nephew, who one day will write his first
book about clandestine benzodiazepine synthesis from scratch, hopefully
releasing updates every 1 - 2 years.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

It seems it just depends on the person, some people think clonazepam is the best benzo around while others think it is pish, then some people like temazepam while others don't.

I really don't think a benzo holy grail exists, besides out of the many many benzo's available the main differences are half life and whether they are hypnotic or anxiolytic. Other than that they all act in a very simialr manner and have only slight differences that don't seem to be massively distinct.

I would go in a different direction and say the holy grail of benzo's is one that doesn't cause dependence within weeks and doesn't create tolereance almost as fast. Of course dependance and tolerence with such a thing as benzo's is inevitable, i doubt that will ever change.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

SWIM might have to say oxazepam aka Serax. Only tried it once but it does stick out in his memory as being pretty spectacular for a benzo. Then maybe bromazepam (Lexotanil) even though more of this has to be taken to achieve the sweet spot.

Oh how SWIM agrees with you. SWIM wasnt expecting much, but some of those little red capsules of oxazepam were pretty good stuff

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

SWIM has often been curious about some benzos that are held in high regard in some other parts of the world and are unavailable in the U.S. So many out there, it seems that something like nimtazepam would be a holy grail of benzos for SWIM since she'd have to go to the other side of the world to get it. One benzo she has never tried that is available in her own country that seems to be highly promising, was mentioned several times above which is oxazepam. Flunitrazepam would be a holy grail perhaps but not something she want's to find in the U.S. as it is highly frowned upon by the government. Those just seem to be the most talked about and highly regulated benzos across the globe. Temazepam does have some special restrictions in many places as well and is certainly been always SWIM's favorite. Glad to hear about several people talking about oxazepam, as if SWIM is correct that is an active metabolite of diazepam at least and has an extremely short half-life in terms of benzos.

SWIM really has no desire to take clonazepam other than when it's REALLY necessary. Temazepam on the other hand has been the only benzo ever to cause SWIM actual cravings. Before SWIM goes any further, it should be noted that she does rotate benzo consumption which seems to keep everything in check which works well for her.

Well, SWIM is gonna get yelled at for sure but not everyone becomes dependant on benzos in a period of weeks. In fact, benzos can be taken for a long period of time in some individuals and not cause dependance. Others might develop a dependance in a short period of time. Tolerance to the recreational effects does occur, but if one takes them like prescribed and uses them in a responsible manner for therapeutic purposes, there is much literature supporting the fact that tolerance to the actual therapeutic use does not occur. SWIM can attest to that. But, in the long-run it seems that physical anxiety may become somewhat more frequent, but not predictable like withdrawl symptoms from opiates. The same dose of alprazolam or clonazepam still works for SWIM as it did 10 years ago. Not condoning habitual use, but feel they might sometimes be over-demonized. Of course everyone has there own opinion and experiences with difference substances and obviously would see things differently.

Benzos across the globe can be quite different in effects as well. SWIM has never found two benzos to have the same effect unless they were abused. Then it's pretty hard to tell. But anyway, they still should be used with extreme caution and not mixxed. For therapeutic uses, your doctor shoudl be able to help but they are often unwillng to do so.

Re: The Benzo Holy Grail

Love VAlium during the day, I can actually work on it and does the job of reducing anxiety. Xanax or K-pins good at night if I want to catch a buzz

I've tried rohypnol a few years back and wasn't happy with it. Just put me to sleep, no buzz, and I didn't get any of those dreaded amnesia effects that people talk about. Now they are only made by Roche mainly in south america and have a extreamely bright purple dye in them that I believes is lumanescent under black light.... regardless, it's such a strong purple that it would be easy to spot in clear to semi clear drinks to avoid the possibility to unknowingly dose someone
