Grandama's Boy is my favorite "stoner movie" then Half Baked and Friday. Up in Smoke used to be it, back in the day but Cheech and Chong movies (especially that one) always seemed to start off great and then suck more and more towards the end.

Up in smoke is by far the best classic along with every other C&C movie cept corsican bros. Grandmas boy is just awsome jp is the best medicine to a great laugh a long with the killer joint with the 4 strands where they are playing xbox on a blank screen with the monkey just insanely funny. Harold and Kumar bring C&C to the modern day quite well- George Bush is funny stoned. And the newest to the collection is of course Pinapple Express. But i cant forget half baked and how high. great movies

Grandma's Boy is crazy funny. Still, Up in Smoke gets me every time.

The Big Lebowski is my favourite film ever, but I feel I need to pick a pure weed movie for this topic, and their is none better than How High. How High just makes me feel good to be a stoner. And unlike movies like Half Baked, theirs no ''we should give this crap up' moments. In fact, they use weed to help them study!

Also, I need money is severly overlooked in considering the greatest on screen characters of all time.

Big lebowski is great movie. Pineapple express is unbelievably hilarious with it's absurd scenarios.

SWIM likes "Harold and Kumar", "Road Trip", and "Dude, Where's My Car," for silly stoner movies.

And one (or two rather)for the ages, "Fritz the Cat" and "The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat" IF one is lucky enough to be able to find a copies of either.

Is Dude, Where's My Car? even a stoner comedy. I can't remember any stoner references from it. It was a bit too stupid for my taste. Road Trip and Harold & Kumar are fine though. Not too big on Pineapple Express, it was something of a let-down but Knocked Up has some classic stoner comedy moments, especially that gas mask bong.

Up in smoke defo but i would also recommend maybe not a movie but a docu called "The Union: the business behind getting high"

Indeed, The Union is very good alright. The ending is kind of sad however. When Lester Grinspoon says you can't sustain the lie of prohibition forever, a lot of man-made lies are thousands of years old.
