Swim is from the uk and reads many posts on hashish from the states, seeing as how close the uk is to the netherlands swiy would have thought hash would be in plenty supply, but no, hash is like rocking horse shit in England. The closest thing is soap bar resin which is about 30% hash and 70% god knows what. could be tar/charcoal/glue/plastic anything. so does swiy in the uk come into it regularly or is england full of cats sat at home with bubble bags making their own ? The last time swim had some top grade sticky hash was over in the dam

Low to mid-grade polm is almost always available in Ireland. I would have expected the UK to be the same.
Soapbar is almost dead here, thankfully.

Up until the early 90's Resin was pretty much the norm in the UK; Gold seal, Red seal, Sputnik, Squidgy black, Golf ball, Soap bar, Tia sticks, Lebanese, Moroccan, Slate, the list goes on. Of course you could get grass or Sensimillia as it was called back then, sadly un-like the name suggests you usually got plenty of seeds mixed in with your booty, anyways it was pretty hard to find. This slowly changed throughout the 90's and Nowadays it’s simply Skunk they don’t even bother to tell you what strain it is, one assumes home growing has played a big part in this.
From swims experience resin is very uncommon in the states and always has been or at least that’s his impression.
Amsterdam yea what would swim give for some nice Zero-Zero or some Nep...Whoooo.

"Soap bar", which is pretty much a mixture of animal fat, plastic and hash is unfortunately very common and inexpensive in the UK.

In the North-East there is a fairly consistent supply of mid grade polm. Occasionally traditionally made black hash comes along.

The relative rarity of hash in the UK is probably because nobody can be bothered to smuggle it in when you have all these Vietnamese gangs with houses full of plants knocking out tons and tons of strong skunk - it wouldn't really make economic sense. My pet polar bear has had some very nice hash in the UK but yes this was usually homemade bubble bag stuff.

It's strange all this talk about soapbar, my polar bear has never seen or heard of anyone buying or selling it apart from on the internet. Maybe people have higher standards now and won't buy it?

swim finds plenty of soap here in wales,uk it's everywhere swim also use to get loads of nice fluffy blonde hash which was some times better than the weed swim use to get... swim use to prefer this to weed and use to smoke it all the time....

Squirrel is in the U.K. and has only really ever got pretty darn good hash (Midlands) but it is pretty rare. He doesn't get it off people who would sell rubbish, so there may be tons of rubbish hash out there he hasn't come across. Never come across soapbar, don't particularly want to. Here in the U.K. hash seems to have a bit of a bad name, dealers will say "oh, well i've only got a bit of hash left..." or be much less willing to invest in hash, when Squirrel often finds it a nicer buy.

well in the US hash is pretty rare swim would say. any you find is usually not part of a commercial operation but rather a small homeade batch. swim has smoked his share of hash but doesnt know what it would be called by UK standards. swim would say a gram of the typical hash around his parts would be equal to 3 grams of mid-grade buds.

Howard Marks smokes pollen all the time he also explains what has happened to hash in recent years in a documentary i found on google (search stoned in suburbia) propa soap bar here is like 4 grams which is worth less than 1.75 grams of average bud pritty cheap! but derty as hell... when swim was younger swim use to save lil bits of swims dinner money until friday after school swim would nip down to the roughest estate in town where swims mate lived and swim use to buy 4 grams of soap bar off swims mates mum and then we would suck it through a bong(this seemed like the only way to realy get stoned off it!) it use to give swim a realy bad chest/cough eewww never again......

SWIM sees soapbar in big cities, pretty easy to get if SWIM wishes and so cheap, an ounce of soapbar is about an eighth of the price of skunk, where SWIM get's his hash he get's mid grade pollem to high grade indian charras, and other high quality morrocon polm hash like some real deal zero zero hash. But this supply is not regular it is generally bought by SWIM's dealers in 9ounces and then the same hash isn't seen again far several months (if ever again) whereas soapbar seems to come in, in much bigger amounts, in SWIM's area (southwest UK plymouth/exeter) and the same soapbar will be seen around for months from various dealers, always looks the same and always lacks that "high" proper cannabis has. Bubble hash is also available from the bigger cities this is smuggled in from holland and goes for a high price.

In comparison to midgrade skunk the midgrade pollem is usually about the same strength maybe slightly weaker, the bubblehash is mindblowing(obviously), a good two to three times stronger than skunk, the higher quality charras and morrocan hash are maybe 2-3times stronger.

But a year or two ago before SWIM was better connected it was skunk or soapbar and good quality hash was as rare as rocking horse shit.

Oh and for the information of the original poster, the UK being closer to the netherlands is the very reason so much soapbar is in the UK, most comes from decent hash that get's cut down on route to the UK, although a fair bit comes from morocco too.

Soapbar, does not come from The Netherlands. Having lived in both countries the best quality hash is smuggled in commercial quantities from Europoort to the N.E. of England.

Soapbar is usually 100g of polm made the traditional way, then mixed with animal fat, small pieces of plastic and other nasties. It is smuggled out of Tangiers into Southern Spain, then into the UK.

Yeah alot of soapbar comes from morocco alot also comes from the netherlands according to the UKCIA and the LCA, also SWIM has seen some bars of soapbar hash with a european flag and "Nederland" stamped on to it.

i saw an episode of Road wars(the uk version of COPS) and this Vietnamese woman had her house stacked with weed and only lived in the kitchen the rest of the house was just full off realy nice skunk with lamps,fans,heaters,fertilzers she had the lot...

That is exactly what is happening here too. Weed is often grown very, very fast with the only concern being to make is as headache-inducingly skunkish as possible.

I think you'll find the stuff from the viets is usually incorrectely cured, commonly damp, often not pruned at all, and sometimes sprayed, although it seems much of the sprayed weed is coming from holland according to the LCA. Usually the stuff grown for quality isn't grown by criminal gangs but growers who actually know what they're doing, unlike the viets who try to grow as much as possible and make as much money as they can they have no concern for the quality.

Can anyone find me any foresnic reports on soapbar hash I've scoured google and I'm having trouble finding any analysis of it, postive rep awaits anyone who can find some. I'm very intrested to know the actual contaminats as all I have heard is hearsay and websites which have no sources.
