Ok i just thought i'd ask how many people on drugs-forum have experienced paranoia from taking drugs? What drug do you think caused the parainoia and what did you do about it? (in my experience there is very little you can do...)

Paranoia can be remedied by GOING COMPLETELY INSANE and laughing at everything. Focus on a point in the trip when you feel a distinct lack of paranoia, which I call cosmonoia, and hold on to that feeling/

I find that paranoia is a circumstantial thing rather than the actual effect of drugs themselves. I've been paranoid when smoking pot a time or two anytime there's a risk of being caught.

Another time I took a load of Es expecting to crash in a buddy's house overnight but I was booted out for some reason. I got real freaked out when I realised I had nowhere to go, was buzzing out of my mind and was possibly gonna freeze to death.

Weed makes me paranoid like nothing else. Doesn't matter where/when I smoke I get paranoid even when I know I got nothing to worry about. Nothing else does that to me. I still get paranoid on other drugs but only if theres a good reason (gotta talk to parents while really high, ect.). Sometimes after I've been up for a long time on crystal and I see things out of the corner of my eye I get kind of parnoid but not like I'm gonna get caught, more like is there someone there or not? Still not as bad as weed.

What the hell to do? Is it the fight or flight response? What about beta-blocker or something like that, or benzos? Would that stop paranoia in its tracks?

I love weed paranoia. It's half the experience when your heart's racing and you don't know what to expect yet. My most paranoid drugs experience was when I first dropped acid. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into and thought I was gonna go nuts. Luckily I was with a few experienced friends who guided me through it and I had a great time.

Ya the ole thc, weed or hash. I still dont know if paranoid is the right word, for me anyway. Its not like i worry about cops or if people know im stoned or im scared of anything. Its that i worry and think about shit that i dont worry and think about when im strait. Bills being the biggest one. Ive been around long enuff to know that im gonna eat tommorow and that the lights wont go off and shit but man when i toke now i worry about money alot. It wasnt like that in the start, a gradual thing for me. I almost never toke now, only at home and stuff. I luv the feeling of thc and how it makes me laugh my ass off at a funny show, or really get into a deep movie, and the sex!!!! so once in a while is good for me now. Coke makes me really jumpy now. So i stick to the warm hugs of my opies now.

I guess it's more excitement than anything else. Nothing in the world pleases and excites me more than a big lungfull of decent bud (apart from sex obviously).
