Side effects - mdma effects felt after 3 weeks. please help!!

Hello, I am a little bit desperate so please excuse my bad english.

I took some mdma three weeks ago.We bought 0.5 grams for 4 persons. It was my first and last time. Half of the night was great, the other half was awful. I went into a really bad trip and all my friends tried to calm me down for several hours.

It's been 3 weeks since my experience. This night I suddenly woke up, I felt like something bumped in my head and I started feeling the exact same effects that I felt when I first took it. Shivers, I felt cold then hot then cold again, my heart beating really fast, my mouth dry and that strange inside tremble. I talked to my girlfriend and she calmed me down. It's 6:34 now and I can't go to sleep. I still feel that inside shiver. I am afraid to tell my dad about it and I really don't know what to do.

Are these the real effects or it's just placebo (me remembering my bad experience). Will it help if I go to the hospital? From what I read on the Internet, it causes permanent damage to your body so I'm really scared about this.

What should I do? Please help me

Hmmm...This sounds fishy. SWIM has never heard of people suffering psychological trauma from pure MDMA. SWIM thinks it's likely that SWIY could've dosed something that wasn't completely MDMA. Half a gram for 4 people? That's not all that much. Were any other of SWIY's friends traumatized from the experience?

Please describe SWIY's trip in more elaborate detail so that the imaginary people of this fine forum can help pinpoint what kind of garbage was sold to SWIY.

As far as permanent damage...SWIM knows there are people who argue the neurotoxicity of doing MDMA, but SWIM has never suffered any lasting adverse side effects from doing MDMA.

Swim is sorry...swim was so desperate to seek help and he didint read the rules completly. what's written there is pure fiction.

let's say Swim took 1g pure white mdma. swim's 3 friends split in half for two parties. 0.5 / party. swim took at one party, felt good, but suddenly felt bad. Swim's friends felt really good and even took it again at another party. Swim decided not to take it again as swim felt bad.

Swim's bad trip went like this: shivers, feeling of cold then hot then cold then hot again, jaw clenched, heart beating fast and very strange inner tremble, dizzyness, light hedeache. swim started feeling this around 2 am and finally calmed down around 7 am when he went to sleep.

swim didn;t feel anything else the other day, and almost forgot about the experience untill after 3 weeks when he suddenly woke up from his sleep, feeling like being hit at the back of his head. swim started shivering and feeling the same effects he felt when swim ingested mdma. the feelings of cold and warm came back again and swim couldnt go back to sleep. heart was beating fast. swim talked to his girlfriend and calmed down a little bit, but felt like having a little bit of fever for the rest, dry mouth and couldnt stop that strange inner tremble. swim also feels his head a little bit hard on his shoulders and can't get to sleep.

as we speak swim is desperate as swim does not know what to do. from what swim read on the internet, there is nothing much to do and thinks it might be some problem envolving the serotonin.

could anyone help swim?

There have been cases of dysautonomia associated with MDMA, but usually with excesssive use. There is likely some sort of predisposition for this condition, genetic or otherwise. Many of the symptoms described are autonomic, but they are also mostly associated with panic attacks.
If it persists, SWIM recommends seeing a doctor. SWIM also recommends never using MDMA or anything similar ever again. There is at least one extremely disturbing testimonial about extreme dysautonomia associated with MDMA, with a particular compromise of thermoregulation, causing the person to be very susceptible to overheating. Pay careful attention to trouble with temperature changes.
SWIM would not obsess on one flashback like episode too much though. A traumatizing drug experience can carry the same psychological impact as any other form of trauma and could cause a version of post-traumatic-stress syndrome. People with PTSS often relive trauma in dreams. This will get better over time if this is the case as your subconscious integrates the experience.

For the sake of SWIY's own anxiety, SWIM recommends that SWIY find a way to relax and find comforting, trustworthy company if available. If there is some issue about dysautonomia, well, look into it in the morning. Maybe take a sedative for now and get some rest.

To reiterate what SWISnapper stated, ff SWIY's experience was indeed traumatic, it would be a good idea to avoid MDMA in the future. If the anxiety persists anymore after tonight, it would be beneficial for SWIY to seek the help of professionals.

swim would like to thank for the replies.

swim finnaly managed to get 6 hours of good sleep. swim woke up and heart started to race again, also feels a little bit of trembeling.

swim forgot to mention swim is a heavy cannabis user and thought about maybe all this was a panick attack. swim is intruged as he smokes for a long time and never in his life experienced a bad trip with weed.

the day swim felt the whole lot of mdma "bad" effects" swim didnt smoke anything. swim couldnt get over the fact that it hit him all of a sudden, during his sleep. swim is a little paranoid now and thinks only about the worse that can happen.

Incredibile. Swim realized all of a sudden the reason why he woke up so shocked and scared. It's unbelieveble even to swim itself. Swim promises it is not a lie or bluffing.

Swim had a dream about rolling a joint. Swim has the habit of liking its fingers after mixing up the weed with tobbaco. Swim dreamt about someone putting by mistake mdma on the mix and swim licked the powder.

If this was only a dream swim is still intruged why he felt the effects so real and for so many hours.

What SWIY is experiencing is known as a panic attack. A panic attack causes physical symptoms in response to the brain's perceived notion of fear and danger.

swiy had a bad trip on whatever it is that he took and it was so powerful the brain is having flashbacks and recreating the experience leading to panic attacks. this happens all the time to people who have bad trips on shrooms and lsd..

Friend went brain dead after one use? That's a load of bullocks. SWIM will play along and say that SWIY's friend must've dosed something that wasn't MDMA. SWIM would be interested in reading about this story if SWIY could post a link.

Landisrebel, swim would like to thank you for making swim feel so much better now. Swim was going through a panic attack and you just made his day!

On a more serious note, I found out swim went through a serious panick attack that he finnaly managed to overcome. The fact that swim wrongfuly thought the effects where the same as the time he did mdma, it was because he did not know what a panick attack was.

So, when swim took mdma he had a bad trip and a panick attack. Nothing phisical. He couldn't get over his experience so easy. After 3 weeks he had a bad dream and went into another panick attack, thinking about the worse, hence "feeling the mdma effects".

Swim is safe and sound now, and would like to thank the imaginary people from this forum for helping him. Without a doubt he will come back whether he will have any problems in the future.
