Combinations - Which plants have MAOIs that you are aware of?

Swim is wonder if you could just list plants that you might know of that have MAOIs since he is trying to stay away from them because he is on Citalopram. Passion flower is the only one he knows has one.

he is thinking of purchasing Damaina and Calamus and is hoping they do not!

Well have you looked either of those plants up?

Passionflower has MAO-I, but it;s week, not as week as yohimbe, but nowhere near as strong as Harmala.

Those are pretty much it, it's not a very common substance.

Plants with known MAOI activity: Banisteriopsis caapi, Peganum harmala (Syrian Rue), Pausinystalia yohimbe (Yohimbine), Hypericum perforatum (St. John's Wort).

Thanks man. swim is not even sure how dangerous it would be to take mild maios with citalopram 40mgs a day. but until he knows for sure he doesn't want to risk it.

wow thanks for the info guys, swim also takes med's that require him to stay away from MAOI's. this info was very much appreciated
