Dose quarters over time
Hi all, i know to some this may seem like a waste of acid, but SWIM wanted to experiment with this... What SWIM has done is cut a single blotter (which swim knows to be fairly good acid) into quarters and then dose each quarter over 3/4 of an hour at a time. SWIM is up to taking the third quarter now and is getting faint visuals and a body high, but not as strong as a whole dose which is to whats be expected. Its pretty fun so far just having a mild tinge to everything without being completely confused if you know what i mean. Anyway what do you guys think to this method?

Re: Dose quarters over time
SWIM wouldn't say it's a waste of acid. It would really depend on if SWIY enjoys it or not.
How was the experiment? Last edited by Third/Eye; 09-04-2009 at 20:13. |

Have to say with the acid now... Swim when he takes it (not often) he likes to take high amounts to, make it something specially.....
Won't say how much (irresponsible behavior) but its a lot..... |

Re: Dose quarters over time
Tolerance occurs after the first dose passes the blood-brain barrier, hence re-dosing or taking a booster has little to no effect and is degrading the strength of your Lucy taken thereafter by about half of what it should be.
Take what your gonna take all at once, or not at all. |

Many users have reported success with redosing psychedelics including LSD, up to several hours after ingestion of the primary dose. Additionally, gradual dosing as opposed to a single administration is a viable option with most psychedelics, and will not be interfered with by the process of downregulation. For users who experience adverse side effects during the onset of activity, such as nausea, anxiety, muscular tension...etc. may benifit from gradual dosing. Though it is unlikely to reduce overall side-effects, those experienced during the onset may certainly be amerliorated. |

Taking an entire dose at once will likely result in a more significant or potent onset of effects and perhaps a more "intense" peak, as the entirety of the compound is active simultaneously. Progressive dosing however results in a more drawn-out onset and peak, which may be perceived as less active by some users. This is not an indication of the potency of the compound or any downregulation, however. |

Re: Dose quarters over time
Sorry for taking time to reply SWIM has been busy. But as for this experience, it was fairly visual and there seemed to be more headspace during this experience. However, some good insights were still reached and over all it was quite an enjoyable, yet less strong trip. Swim would recommend this to new users. SWIM also argues against the fact that re dosing does not do anything, SWIM did not experience any tolerance degredation. It seemed like the trip lasted for a few hours longer than what SWIM is used to, as if the curve of intensity was stretched sideways and peaked at a lower level. Would be a fun experience if SWIM is wanting to try acid out when he goes clubbing or something similar, which is what this SWIM was trying to find out really.

Re: Dose quarters over time
Dropping in quarters is a perfectly valid way of taking LSD blotter, it will obviously be less intense than taking the full dose at once so its more geared towards a social experience as opposed to an introspective experience. Dropping in small amounts is also good when dealing with very powerful blotters or a blotter of unknwn potency so a swimmer can get an idea of how strong they are - it can be unnerving to say the least when a swimmer realises they have dropped what turns out to be an unmanagable dose. Better too little rather than too much especially for less experienced users.
Swim does not agree with "All at once or not at all" , when a swimmer has enough experience they are better able to guage where their comfort zone is and whether they want to venture out of their comfort zone. |
