SWIM has heard that one can soak a Benzedrex cotton rod in an acidic drink like orange juice, squeeze the cotton and then remove it, then one could simply just drink the liquid and that is more efficient and safe then eating the cotton.

Is this true?
Will plain orange juice work?

Yes, it's true and is likely safer than eating cotton, which not only can block the intestines but is full of nasty chemicals.

Anything acidic will work. Just cut the cotton in like 4 pieces and soak for about 30 minutes, swishing around periodically. SWIM leaves hers to soak for days at a time, adding more liquid to the mix after she's drunk the first wash.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS CHEMICAL. NOT A LOT IS KNOWN ABOUT ITS TOXICITY AND EFFECTS ON VITAL ORGANS. Propylhexedrine is a potent vasoconstrictor and adrenergic that's similar in structure to meth, so don't underestimate the risks.

Some people recommend taking an entire inhaler's worth at once, but this can be dangerous to those with no tolerance. One inhaler contains 250 mg. of propyl, while amounts prescribed for weight loss in the 1960s were around 25 mg. SWIY has to remember that it's meant to provide numerous inhalations and is meant to be taken intranasally in microdoses, so an entire inhaler's worth is simply too much for most people.

Start with small doses and don't mix it with other stims, even caffeine.
