Social - SWIM kava user from UK just joined

SWIM is a total noob and would like to say hello on this particular section.
SWIM has been taking kava off and on for just over 10 years. Backed off during the early days of the euro health scare. started with standardised capsules from Holland and Barrett (nationwide health food chain). Couldn’t get it for a while.

But SWIM is a long term anxiety and panic attack sufferer since a car crash 20 years ago. And went through 10 years of hell before finding kava kava. Did go on beta blockers which helped with the physical symptoms, but not the mental anxiety. Kava did the rest. On an as and when needed basis.

SWIM enjoyed feeling normal so much that decided to contact Fijian vanuatu supplier direct and got a good cheapish source, bit rough cut. But would blend for ages and started to drink recreationally, for a couple of years. When the healthscare hit SWIM stopped drinking it. But saved some capsules for emergencies. Eked them out for a couple of years. Lifestyle changes and better understanding of the condition helped with the anxiety. Also practising EFT.
But last year SWIM started getting a sore neck due to new career and dizzy spells, which exasperated SWIMs already symptom anxious disposition. SWIM looked into kava again first time since about 2001/2002 and was pleased to find the kava community fighting back and that USA had never banned it. So SWIM ordered loads of capsules from the States. Not a problem getting them through customs.
Never one to rush, a year later. Last month to be exact. SWIM thought he would order some powdered root from Hawaii. Bit expensive but well established and probably good quality.
SWIM clearly is not much of a user of anything. But loves kava as an anti-anxiety pill. And as a mildly narcotic relaxing drink. Nothing in 20 years has ever worked like Kava.
Oh, by the way Liver fine on two checks over last 10 years.
So this time around now the internet is in full swing, SWIM did a search on UK kava users and found this forum. As in all this time SWIM has never met or spoken to another kava user let alone Kava Drinker.
So he would like to say hello.
