So SWIM thought he would save some money/adderall by plugging half of a 30mg xr pill as opposed to parachuting the whole thing as usual. SWIM must have done something wrong because this did not work out very well.

SWIM crushed up the beads in a shot glass, put a little bit of water in it, and then stirred it, sucked it up with a syringe, and injected it. He then lay on his side for about a half hour and then got up to go make some coffee. About 10 minutes later, SWIM started feeling some effects, felt the need to shit. Very badly. He went to the toilet and out came diarrhea. SWIM will definately not be repeating this. Did he do something wrong or is this typical? He has plugged other drugs before without such results.

It will never cease to amaze me how readily people stuff stuff up their rear ends and ask questions later.

Switching administration to either end is a risky business.

Reminds SWIM of this time, SWIM woke up and had to drive a lont distance on the expressway to SWIm's uncle's cottage.. SWIM was tired, so SWIM woke up had a big breakfast..

In the car, SWIM took 30mg of adderall tablets, along with a big cup of coffee.. SWIM forgot to realize that when adderall kicks in, SWIM really has to take a shit.. So being in the middle of the expressway while it was packed, SWIM was squirming around in his seat cuz SWIM had the 'runs'.

Luckily, SWIM good of an exit, and was able to hit up a gas station to take a crap.. if that exit wasn't there at that time, SWIM woulda
spilled the beans..

Funny circumstances. Thanks for the concise report! Amphetamines bind to dopamine receptors, which are distributed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. The particular dopamine receptor subtypes vary between central and peripheral tissues, but most available agonists of the receptors will elicit effects at more than one of them. It wouldn't be surprising, therefore, that anally ingested amphetamines would elicit some strange digestive activity.

As a side-note - a very close friend has had the privilege of performing intraperitoneal injections of apomorphine (a compound that elicits similar effects to amphetamines, and is commonly used as an alternative model for the effects of amphetamines) upon rats. Subsequently, haloperidol (a dopamine receptor blocker) was injected to assess differences in behavior as a result of exposure to the disparate compounds. Aside from marked motor reductions, the most apparent effect was continuous, and apparently uncontrollable, defecation. Perhaps dopamine receptors have some direct role in the smooth-muscle contractions elicited in peristalsis or other digestive functions?

Has anyone else had similar reactions to similar routes of administration?

Btdt many times before. The key to plugging is to make sure you have somewht clean bowels before. Swim gets opiate constipation really bad and once experienced this plugging hydrocorone. He was just starting to feel it when the runs kicked in. Usually if u shit b4 u plug then everything is fine

yeah that and more simply, sometimes constipation is the result of an overly dry peice blocking up the mix. you moisten that bit and boom, all hell breaks loose from the bowels

walking monstrosity, you are clearly new here. its called plugging, and many users who don't like snorting or injection prefer that method. Its part of the "outside of the box" mindset of drug users

Swim just recently started plugging, but only with cocaine and ecstacy, not pills. Swims circle of friends all refer to it as "suitcasing". Not sure why, maybe it has to do with the whole drug smuggling reference or something.

Swim doesn't wanna sound like a total idiot so she's having me ask this question, but what does "parachuting" mean?

Parachuting is crushing up the beads/pill and then putting it in a tissue and swallowing it like a capsule. Yeah the plugging turned out ok after this incident for swim. he ended up taking some baking soda and parachuting the rest of the pill. It was definately stronger than usual but not worth the trouble. It SEEMED like a good idea at the time... SWIM will most likely not be plugging any more substances because of this and the fact that he feels like such a junkie fiend doing it. SWIM has done way too many drugs in ways his friends would never dream of and highly regrets it.
