Dexedrine Euphoria and Crash
SWIM finds Dexedrine to be the most euphoric of the CNS stimulants. SWIM was on Dexedrine prescription way back in middle school, as well as other CNS stimulants, and during middle school, it totally changed SWIM's personality, but much later, it affects SWIM much differently. When SWIM got off all prescription meds and CNS stimulants for a very long time, SWIM remembers taking a Dexedrine and the Dexedrine would bring on a great euphoria for SWIM. Whenever SWIM was feeling emotional, just taking a Dexedrine would bring on this amazing feeling. Out of all the CNS stimulants, SWIM feels that Dexedrine instant release has the best euphoria. However, Dexedrine instant release has an intense crash. When the Dexedrine wears off, all of a sudden, a rush of depression comes on and SWIM gets extremely emotional and sometimes starts crying or feeling sad. SWIM also has been having low energy levels for awhile, so when Dex wears off, SWIM is so tired SWIM can't move. The crash is painful when SWIM goes from feeling great and euphoric and energetic to very depressed and so weak SWIM can't even move. However, when the crash wears off a couple hours later, SWIM would go back to normal and feel better. Dexedrine has an amazing affect that Concerta and other CNS stims don't have. The unfortunate thing is Dexedrine instant release only lasts 3-4 hours before a crash and Dexedrine spansules last about 6 hours, but the euphoria isn't as great and either is the crash. SWIM wishes they had a longer lasting Dexedrine. SWIM had gotten Dexedrine re-prescribed for awhile and taking the presciption dose brought about this every day. In SWIM's opinion, Dexedrine is the best CNS stimulant, because of all the emotions it brings out. Anyone else have Dexedrine at their favorite CNS stimulant? The mood lift is amazing, the crash is intense, and afterwards you feel like you're on an emotional rollercoaster. Does anyone else get that way on Dexedrine much more than the other CNS stims? Share your opionions/experiences.
