Other - CITES certificates and how does one import plants

So nobody is looking to import some plants from overseas and is wondering how does one go about getting the proper paperwork in place. The plants are orchids btw, common ones from a greenhouse in Thailand to be purchased through an auction site. It's important to have evidence of their legality, as nobody plans on growing them for profit, and will need evidence they weren't poached come time for sales in the US.

I know this doesn't directly involve drugs, but the information would be helpful to anyone looking to bring legal ethos into their country, and frankly I can't seem to find a whole lot on how to go about the process.

And yes, I've been to www.cites.org and have already sent them a request for information, I just don't trust large agencies to respond in a timely manner.
