SWIM has posted before about spending 3+days (with one accidental 10 minute nap) awake on adderall, alcohol and cocaine, while actually going into work in the day (at an advertising agency - now do you understand why so any commercials are so weird? ...)
SWIM knows many have gone thru this extreme behavior on occasion - but how about those SWIY's who do this on a consistent basis, ie. going thru months of sleeping only about 10 hours per week??
SWIM grew up believing that it was crucial to get 8+ hours sleep a night. now, after having survived too many 3 day-without-sleep episodes, she suddenly finds herself pushing herself more & more to the extreme. the occasional binge has now become the norm and 2 hrs sleep per night is the max. SWIM sometimes can't believe she is still alive and functioning, taking on average 70 mg adderall in the day and about $120 worth of cocaine a week and all sorts of drinks in the evening. SWIM has a very active social life and a fairly successful career and is in no way into the junkie lifestyle, but somehow ended up like this.
the eternal staying awake is not a choice and SWIM hates being this way, but it mostly has to do with wanting to avoid that horrendous crash...
by now, SWIM has such high tolerance for amphetamines and is starting to freak out about what she is doing to her body...
any SWIY's who can relate to this and have anything to say about long term effects?? would love to hear your stories...
