I have tried (twice) to make and consume the ayhusca. I will NEVER try it again with the MHRB. This was the MOST FOUL stuff I have ever tasted, and I have tasted plenty of really bad stuff (quinine/ bineeta etc). I never did achieve a state of bliss. I believe that the harmila was the only thing I felt (besides throwing up all night) beware the underdose!!!!! NEVER AGAIn with the mhrb....How does the P. Virdis or D. Cabernerra taste...it is as foul as MMRB???? I would however also be interested in hearing a recipe that works. I know that there are some really easy ones out there. I have a couple in my files and am curious to try em. Edited by: acolon_5 |

Hey,
So far, SWIM has brought 5 gms of morning glory seeds, 10 madagascar seeds, peganum harmala, banisteriopsis caapi (red) (60 grams), Psychotria viridis. SWIM's so confused, SWIM understands how to brew it but is there anything else SWIM needs, to make ayahuasca? SWIM has 60 grams of banisteriopsis caapi and 25 grams of psycho virirdis and peganum harmala (not sure how many grams SWIM has) ... SWIM wants to make some for 5 people? Does SWIM have enough??? Well, don't add the morning glory, or madagascar seeds to the brew, that'll just do hell.
Dosage chart according to one person for aya brew 8grams mimosa 3grams syrian rue or 30 grams caapi 30 grams p v SWIM thinks the caapi and the p v are used together without any harmala to make the brew, SWIM is not sure, a bit confused on that. SWIM knows that the mimosa and syrian rue make the sacred brew but do the caapi and p v do too? Or do you have to add a harmala to that too.. And the caapi is the DMT and the mimosa is the DMT, right? is the p v the maoi? the syrian rue is the maoi too right? Geh.. |

The DMT plants are Mimosa Hostilis (rootbark), Psychotria Viridis (leaf), and (rarely) Desmanthus Illinoisis/Leptolobus root.
The MAOI plants are Banisteriopsis Caapi vine, Syrian Rue seeds, and (rarely) Passiflora Incarnata - commonly known as Passion Flower. The average dosages used for ayahuasca are: DMT plants: Mimosa Hostilis = 13grams Psychotria Viridis = 60grams Desmanthus Illinoisis/Leptolobus = 454grams All of the above deliver approximately 70milligrams of DMT. The general consensus on the DMT plants for ayahuasca is that Mimosa doses reliably but is much more nauseous, Psychotria is highly variable in strength but is pleasant and is the standard for ayahuasca, and that Desmanthus is the worst tasting stuff on earth. MAOI plants: Banisteriopsis Caapi = 60grams Syrian Rue = 3.3grams Passion Flower = 125grams The general consensus about the MAOIs is that rue feels edgy, passionflower feels sleepier and is less reliable, and caapi is preferred as smoother, more pleasant, and is the "official ayahuasca" MAOI. The caapi varieties are: BLACK-strong and "dark" for experienced users only, RED-strong for hardheads, and WHITE or YELLOW(cielo)-for most people. Pick one plant from each list and combine the two to make a strong tea by adding a harmless acid to the tea to help pull the goodies out of the plant. Some acids used are: vinegar (3 tablespoons), lemon juice (2 tablespoons), or vitamin C (1 gram). Some people use phosphoric acid and claim significantly stronger results with less nausea. SWIM would recommend the vitamin C option. Lightly simmer the ingredients for several hours, then strain out the solids and keep the liquid "tea". The liquid may be evaporated down with a small fan as far as desired, even to solid form - ground up and pilled in gelatin capsules if desired. Pharmahuasca is a chemical mix of DMT and harmine hydrochoride. The DMT is extracted from a DMT plant. The harmine hydrochloride is extracted from rue seeds via the Manske extraction technique using vinegar and salt. It is possible to make a small full strength pharmahusaca pill by mixing 70milligrams of DMT with 175milligrams of harmine hydrochloride in a gelatin capsule. The advantage of doing it this way is that an exact ayahuasca dose may be administered with negligible nausea effects, something difficult to do otherwise. The ayahuasca purists often become annoyed at use of pharmahuasca because they feel it draws attention to the plant they need (Psychotria) that has largely escaped the attention of LEO. And that as long as they merely "brew" it rather than extract it they can survive on the thin legal ice they tread. A largely untested theory. Be prepared to be flamed for admitting to pharmahuasca use on most ayahuasca forums. What's new: not liking rue, a few people have extracted caapi down to a granular brown powder for pharmahuasca use. The use of DMT with crude smoked rue extracts is starting to catch on. Longer trips with less DMT. And in Australia it is becoming more common to smoke "changa", a mixture of dried caapi and crude DMT extractions made from Acacia Obtusifolia bark. One question recently on the minds of many hyperspace explorers is: can conveniently homegrown dried caapi LEAVES be used with DMT to significantly stretch the trip? SWIM means to find out soon. Stay tuned... ![]() |
