Recently swim and his friend did 2 hits of this acid that was supposed to be right killer. Mayan calendars they were called and was swim ever high! It was swims second time doing acid and was way more intense this time around. Swim has only done cid with very close friends just to insure a good trip, but this time it seemed to be sum kind of spiritual bond where wat i'd see he would see without having to say words. Swim saw the room start to turn a bright orange and was thinking that subconsiously when my friend said it out loud. It tripped swim right out and thought he was reading minds haha. Later on in the trip, swims friend said he saw a caterpillar crawling around on a hoody on the ground. Swim looked over and saw the exact same thing. Swim even desdcribed it to him to prove it, it looked in neon colours half green and half pink and he saw the exact same thing. Swim thinks that acid could help develop a very strong bond with another person through seeing the same things

Re: Controlling your friends acid trip!
Best thing to do when you are 'leading' a trip, let them now that you have the power to save them if the have a bad trip. All you need is a bunch of benzo's. I have saved many people from bad trip by giving them benzo'se and even after a bad trip they feel confident enough to do it again, because they know that I am there to save them.
During their trips they often call me the guardian angle. I can't guarantee a bad trip free experience, but I have the knowledge and the skills to come close to achieving that. ![]() these smileys suck btw, are y'all a bunch of fonies or what? |

Re: Controlling your friends acid trip!
[Note: this advice probably won't win any friends, but this has been the Good Knight's experience, more or less.]
Right, so what does the original post have to do with controlling a trip? Sure, a positive environment like that is going to have a good influence on an experience in the first place, and is basically the way to go, but actively interfering in someone's trip is likely to have very negative results. Trying to control a psychedelic experience is generally a bad idea, especially someone else's experience. These things tend to have a mind of their own so to speak, and fighting the experience is usually what leads to complications. SWIY needs to be self-aware and understand where the trip is headed, but he should also let it go where it will since there usually is little he can do to drastically change things one way or another. With enough experience it becomes possible to "steer" the trip into a different direction, but someone should never take psychedelic drugs with the foreknowledge that someone else is there to bail them out. SWIY has to understand the consequences of their actions, and they have to be able to deal with those consequences should they arise. Ultimately, it's their brain. It's their life, and their trip. They have to learn to stand on their own two legs and not let someone shoulder the responsibility for the consequences of their decisions. Trip sitters are there to lend a helping hand and act as an emergency lifeline, but ultimately it's the subject's responsibility, not the trip sitter's. However, if the OP means controlling the circumstances of the trip, then he's right. "Set and setting" is an overused phrase but it's definitely true. The subject shouldn't have any responsibilities for the next 24-48 hours depending on the substance, and he should be in a comfortable environment. The mindset has to be right as well, since any serious worries are very likely to become the focus of the experience. This isn't always a bad thing, but it's likely to lead to a difficult experience (though possibly a very rewarding one in the long term, as difficult experiences tend to be). Re: Controlling your friends acid trip!
Yeah, SWIM's not really sure if that's got much to do with 'controlling someone's trip' either.
As for that caterpillar thing, that would've been more of a "power of suggestion" thing. Suggestion is very powerful. Similar thing happened to SWIM and his friend. His friend said the house was falling to one side, so SWIM looked and the house appeared it was falling. It was just suggestion. |
