Experiences - Paranoia and other drugs

SWIM used to be a regular smoker, until gr. 12. After that SWIM stopped smoking for a while. Now SWIM uses it maybe once or twice a month. SWIM has always had bouts of paranoia, probably 90% of the time, usually not too intense. Last night SWIM smoked a joint outside. it seemed fine for a bit until SWIM went inside where he started to freak out. At first SWIM thought that his parents were about to come downstairs and talk to him so SWIM heart started to beat fast, after telling himself it was just a noise his heart was still beating fast and he started freaking out thinking he might have a heart attack or pass out. SWIM had to start walking around and talk to himself to say that he was going to be fine. SWIM could still feel his heart pounding and tried to ignore it. So SWIM sat down and tried to watch a movie (eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) but it was too much for his brain to handle (SWIM already started to watch it before burning) and within 20 seconds SWIM had to stop watching the movie, so switched to tv mode. First commercial SWIM sees is some gillete commercial (just saw it now so it makes sense now) and couldn't deal with that so swtiched to the tv guide channel because its more familiar. SWIM got very tired and was still tripping out SWIM had to keep turning the tv off because it was still tripping him out, then the dark would trip him out so the tv would go back on, this repeated at least 5 times. Everytime SWIM would try to sleep he would have the craziest thoughts go through SWIMs head and would wake him up, until finally SWIM got to sleep.SWIMs heart was pounding the whole time, unless it was just a trip. There was much more to this trip that SWIM didn't feel like explaining. Don't blame you if you don't read the whole thing so:

In short: SWIM usually get paranoid from weed and SWIM was wondering (this was actually something SWIM thought about while high that night which tripped him out lol) If I were to do something like shrooms would SWIM have the same paranoid feeling, or is it just a different high. I know that aking Oxy doesn't give him paranoia. SWIM's paranoia mostly revolves around the heart and sometimes imagine heart attack feeling, like arm going numb (of course its just him tripping out).
