Health - Quickie "extraction" of Benzedrex to avoid eating cotton. NO Chem knowledge needed.

SWIM has found that he enjoys a Benzedrex inhaler or two (never more than two) now and again. This is fairly recent for him, because at age 32 with a long criminal record, he prefers drugs he can obtain legally or by prescription as any more charges will have him going away for some time. Plus, there is no meth in SWIMs area on any sort of regular basis.
However, as an opiate addict and heavy drinker as well, he already has enough GI tract issues without eating cotton.
Basically, SWIY should obtain an acidic drink (check the label, but OJ and Mountain Dew have worked for SWIM, Coke Zero did not)

Cut the inhaler (s) into about 10 small pieces. Place in 20 ounce bottle of acidic drink, seal bottle.
Over the course of an hour or so shake the bottle periodically and vigorously.
Pour the drink through a filter like cheesecloth, panty hose, a tea strainer etc, into a large glass.
Any pieces of cotton left in the strainer whould be squeezed until any liquid trapped in them goes into the glass.
Discard cotton, drink contents of glass.

This is obviously not a pure extraction, SWIY will lose a percentage of PPX (SWIM guesses less than 10% based on personal experience) and will still have to deal with menthol burps etc, but SWIY did not have to consume cotton and fuck up SWIYs guts. Especially if SWIY has any preexisting GI issues like Chron's disease, IBS etc, or has opiate or alcohol issues like SWIM.
