Isn't it ironic how all the regulations ONLY screw the legit people?
let's see here..
By restricting opiates:
- People rob pharmacies for it (almost every pharmacy robbery isn't for cash.. it's for drugs)
- People go to doctors/ers for no good reason and put stress on the already overburdened health care system.
- Legit people have to get a new script every month if it's for a C-II.. probably forcing them to take time out of work.. something that drug dealers / total junkies have no problem doing since they probably don't work a 9-5.
- It's the cause of the H market. If oxy was easily available then H wouldn't exist.
- It creates the illegal drug market
- Legit people get undertreated because doctors are so scared of being accused of running a pill mill
The questionable benefits of restricting them:
- People who otherwise might start using don't because it's not easily available (but the problem is that it IS easily available already! Just thru grey/illegal means)
- Creates jobs? (certain doctors, the dea, etc..) What would the DEA do if it wasn't for narcotics abuse? Harass doctors for prescribing antihistamines?
- Prevents addiction from self medicating.. But the problem here is that tons of people who get addicted are because of incompetent doctors..
Oh well.. such is life.. back to formulating ways to convince doctors to rx stuff..
