Re: relapsed or did i?

SWIY probably will not feel the oxy at all; however, wait at least 8 hours or so before taking the Suboxone in order to prevent precipitated withdrawal. 8 Hours still might not be long enough but that is a good starting point. Red Rock has had experience with taking Suboxone in the morning and then doing heroin at night and then repeating that cycle and he can only remember once that he felt withdrawals from that but be careful because SWIY doesn't want to end up in precipitated withdrawal.

Re: relapsed or did i?

If you have buprenorphine in your system and then take an opiate the opiate will be blocked, and will not cause withdrawal-- 'getting sick' only happens in the other direction.

Moreover, the chance that any additional Suboxone (or buprenorphine in any form) will cause withdrawal after taking the opiate is minimal-- IF you already had buprenorphine in your system-- because of the long half-life of buprenorphine. Once on Suboxone, you will have a constant level of buprenorphine in your system that varies only slightly with each daily dose of Suboxone. So 'mr. phreez' should just continue taking the Suboxone as per the usual routine. The only exception would be for people on very low doses of Suboxone- say less than 2 mg per day-- in those cases the level of buprenorphine will drop enough between doses that a repeat dose after using could cause withdrawal.

good post, be careful about referencing/linking to other forums though, as it's against the rules.

Re: relapsed or did i?

MrPhReeZ, please remember to always use SWIM (someone who isn't me) and SWIY (someone who isn't you) when posting on this forum. They are in place to keep people like yourself from self incrimination by discussing the drugs that you have done. SWIM and SWIY are the main reasons this forum is able to run.
