Amanitas and Urine, Cultiavation

Ive been reading the info about amanitas here and ust recently learned this interesting fact and thought it would be goof on the forum, after taking amanitas it is good to drink your own urine because it contains alot of alkaloids it also increases your chance of a good trip. but this depends on how far your willing to tkae it

Just cause the Siberians drink their urine after eating the psychoactive aminitas does not mean they necessarily find it pleasent or desirable.


Thats said you should be able to get pleanty high on the psychoactive amanitas with otu having to drink your pee.


I ate Amanita pantherina just last night and did not need to drink my pee. I still had a good time.

It is actually safer to take Amanitas by drinking the urine of someone
who has taken it than actually taking the mushrooms themselves.

As I read it, it was poor Siberians who drank the urine of more wealthy people who could afford to buy or store the mushrooms. I think it was by necessity but not choice. I think this was reported by Gordon Wasson.


Has anyone eaten Amanita Muscaria (Flyagaric)or Amanita Pantherina (Panther Cap) with sucess? Jonathan Ott cliams that these Amanitas (not the deledly white ones) can have "rapturous" effects.

Eaten with sucess? Yes, Amanita Muscaria wild crafted in Finland,
definitely! It's not like psilocybin mushrooms at all
though. But it is very interesting. Things (including yourself or
parts of yourself) will look or seem to be either really small, or
really big. Many other strange visual and emotional
effects. Your feet will sweat, and the sweat will smell like the
mushrooms. I think they taste pretty good.



Also you can smoke the red skins mixed with cannabis for an interesting effect, but not as strong as eating them.

Drying amanitas at a temperature around 180°F will convert ibotenic
acid (bad) into muscimol (good)... that sounds a lot less nasty than
drinking liver-filtered piss if you ask me.

I have taken about one big cap and a half in combination with 2 bowls
of mj, and I was gone. I love the things, but the only place that I
know has them are online vendors. I don't have the money to buy them
all the time. They were good though. I would recommend them as well.
Does anyone know if they are difficult to grow?

Amanita cultivation is pretty much impossible (indoors), as they need
to grow by certain kinds of trees (fir trees, I think)... I guess if
you wanted to (and live in the right climate) you could crush up a
mature (spore-producing) mushroom or two and mix that into the dirt by
some host trees. There's been success with this method, but again
it has to be the right climate.

Is it possible to overdose on amanitas? Could your make a tincture out of this mushroom?

I've heard of making tinctures out of amanita before... since the
active ingredients are water soluble, you don't want a big
concentration of alcohol (40% would probably be good)... just chop up
the shrooms into small pieces, put them in a jar or whatever, pour your
alcohol over the top, and let it sit for a few weeks and strain out the
mushroom chunks.

Anyway, it is very possible to overdose on amanita... I don't really
know what is considered a "fatal dose" (I've heard that 10 caps will
kill you, but I don't know how true that is), but they can cause a lot
of liver damage if you overdo it. Because of potency variations,
start with like 1 or 2 small caps to be safe.

Unfortunately this method will not work. As Alf can't stand the taste of dried amanitas, Madlab was looking for some way to prepare a tincture at home. Web search brought him this: it's better soluble in water than in alcohol. And: there is no easy way to make an extract at home.

Nevertheless, as there was enough of dried mashroom to experiment, Madlab prepared the tincture in accordance with that recipe and left it for 2-3 weeks in a refrigerator. Alf drank it and felt nothing but a slight buzz lasting few minutes, proportional to amount of alcohol used in the tincture. And there were enough amanitas used in it to provide strong psychoactive effects. Pity but it doesn't work that way. Or the recipe is missing something important.

I wonder who decided to one day drink the urine of a elk, that would
e a rather strange guy, and then after drinking some elks urine,
which he probably did regularly, suddenly he tripped face, well as
much as u can trip on amanitas.

comfortable doing this, btu that is just due to society normas ive
grown up on, on the way out urine is absolutley sanitary, at least i
think it is.

I came across a few anamita muscaria grow kits being sold by online vendors. It'd be very cool to be able to grow these, and it would look really cool to have in your house/room.

So far, mycologists say they have never seen cultivation. They grow under
pine trees and maybe some new discovery has been made. I would love to
know if you are successful. Do they have a pine tree growing in the kit?
Amanitas have a mycorrizal relationship with pine trees.

I was wondering about that too, since as far as I know even scientists
haven't been able to cultivate amanita in a lab environment. I
tried searching the Internet for kits, but didn't get anything... I
could see people selling like smashed up amanita caps (sporinating)
that people could bury by the trees and hope that the spores germinate
and shit or something like that. That's pretty hit and miss on
whether anything will happen though (climate, climate, climate!).
I don't know... it would be interesting to see the logic behind the
vendor's kits though.

By the way, according to Erowid they'll grow around these trees: pine,
spruce, fir, birch, live oak and madrone (whatever the hell that is).

I personally have only seen them under pine trees. They also come up under
the same ones year after year.

i read about a theory that jesus did a lot of shrooms. the validation was that some sort of shroom cap is real flat and big and looks like pita bread (i don't remember what kind, but it wasn't psilocybin containing,it's a different kind of shroom, might have been amanita muscaria)and it also would explain his "water to wine" trick. they say it's not really wine, it's just the same water mixed with his intoxicating urine, which apparently after a large dose of this sort of mushroom takes on an orange/red hue. haha, it's kinda far fetched, but it's possible and interesting.

A question about the conversion of Ibotic acid into muscimol could that be done if dried mushrooms are purchased? I call Amanita's type of mushrooms Mario mushrooms cuz theres good ones that are good and then the poisonness ones
