SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
SWIM recently started experimenting with potentiators and found a particularly nice mix of antihistamines, opiates and benzodiazepines for relaxation.
SWIM was wondering if anyone here had any "Study mix cocktail" that helps them more than just their normal amphetamines or methylphenidate. Something that would get SWIY in an even better mood to study/work or just not be too "Amped up". SWIM Thanks SWIY! SunnyHours. |

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
SWIM has also been looking into this. He wants something to help with motivation and focus, for his job. He doesn't want any amphetamines or "hardcore" drugs. While SWIM enjoys these, he cannot take them everyday without problems arising. Yada yada yada..
Anyway, SWIM has been looking into various nootropics, and will soon give some a shot, particularly Rhodiola Rosea, Piracetam/Oxiracetam, Phenibut, Choline and DMAE. SWIM highly suggests looking into some of these. From what SWIM has read so far seems promising, and they seem very good for your mind and body. SWIM is probably going to first start taking Rhodiola Rosea for mood lift, anxiety/worrying, and motivation/higher productivity for his creative work. He will probably take piracetam with it as well. Good luck! |

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
A lot of SWIM's friends use speed for studying purposes. This simply does not work for SWIM who, when speeding, always ends up walking around with a head full of ideas, plans, intentions, ambitions that are so far out of the realm of schoolwork it becomes ridiculous even thinking about doing some. There are a few exceptions, though. Semi-creative things like essays, literary analysises, etc. for instance.
For SWIM, the most succesful combination to ease any sort of studying and especially for getting through exams in one piece is working by night (daytime distracts terribly) in the bathroom (which I can imagine must sound peculiar), taking an 18 mg Concerta every hour - hour and a half at average (keeping them XR since I've stripped them in the past which can rather quickly bring on those distracting heart palpations) and drinking some 8 to 10 (sugar-free) energy drinks (SWIM prefers Red Bull). In the past, SWIM has thrown some Wellbutrin in the mix. Unfortunately, that did little to nothing for him. |

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
SWIM has never really enjoyed the "amped up" study aids, as they're inevitably accompanied by a comedown (when taking substances like Ritalin/Adderall), which makes it a lot harder to work towards the end of the 'session' than if you were to study normally. Plus, these kind of study aids are usually unsustainable as there is no variability, and tolerance to the stimulants can build pretty fast. SWIM initially used both Ritalin and Adderall when he first discovered drugs could be used for such purposes, but soon the faster onset and potency of the comedown outweighed the no-longer-worthwhile length of the high.
So SWIM factored in some Nootropics to his revision regime and found out, by cycling certain herbal supplements with both legal and illegal drugs, or prescription pharmaceuticals, that - when it came round to intense studying - there were many ways to keep oneself going for a good 9hrs of hard work. Work that would be productive and would allow SWIY to retain all pieces of information. Below is a brief breakdown of what SWIM used to do when it came 'round to exam times, or even when a lot of hard work was needed to be done... SWIM believes that there are only really 2 ways (besides being sober) that SWIY can increase their memory capacity and motivation to work: either SWIY uses stimulants to produce a euphoria in which the worker can get monotonous tasks done very fast and not be bored by it; secondly, SWIY can take the opioid road in order to gain a relaxed euphoria which meant that the worker would actually genuinely enjoy doing the work he/she had to do, simply from being in such a chilled state of mind. Hence why SWIM found that a combination of Modafinil, Tramadol, Tianeptine, GHB and several strong coffees (clearly not taken all at once but carefully regimented throughout the day) so perfect. On top of the aforementioned, SWIM also took a plethora of Nootropics - Multivitamins, Piracetam, Oxiracetam, L-Huperzine A, Centrophenoxine, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, Deprenyl, DLPA, Omega 3&6 and other essential fatty acids, Vasopressin, Ginkgo biloba, Gotu Kola, Vinpocetine, Rhodiola Rosea, Picamillon, DHEA, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and B12/B6 tablets. Clearly this is a ridiculous amount of pills to be taking everyday, so naturally SWIM didn't. SWIM just wanted to list everything that he takes when it comes to "that time" when one has to study. All SWIM will say, though, is that he has tried pretty much all of those drugs mentioned together, in various combinations and, though risky, SWIM is still here. SWIM did do a lot of research beforehand, however, and would advise anyone thinking of using any similar method as SWIM's to do so too. It is most important to look at which drugs/supplements are serotonergic and which are dopaminergic or norandrenergic; same goes for whether they are vasodialators or contrictors. Hopefully this rather jumbled information can be of use to some people out there who are well experienced in the field of Nootropics and using drugs to "better their mind or productivity". |

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
Sparkles found taking Modafinil made her concentrate, it was so intense, almost like once she started something she couldn't unfocus until it was completed. It also made her very aware that she was crossing every T and dotting every I, trying to get what she was writing perfect. She was prescribed it to compensate for CFS but it was too amphetamine like in it's side effects for her to take it every day. (Sparkles is an ex heroin addict so has to be so careful about everything she takes.)
After three days (100mg a day) she felt tired but found it difficult to switch off her thoughts, her brain was still so focused. So she'd say it can be useful, just not something to be taken when it's not needed. Sparkles.

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
Nootropics combined with amphetamines are probably your best bet. SWIM has yet to try them personally, but he has heard good things.
What SWIY wants to avoid are combining his speed with other stimulants. SWIM has some experience with this, and for him it only led to tense, anxious, "geeked out" states of mind. |

Its from another forum section, but SWIM thinks he should link it anyway
because its the best for concentrated work/studying he found after "heavy testing" through many substances. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30973 |

Re: SWIYs favorite combinations for study/working?
Modafinil is really great, it helps you concentrate and keeps you focus. Swim has used amphetamins aswell, and have had 90% success rate, but for swim, you get that occasional high where you cant do anything. Modanfinil swim never had that problem. Its good for studying.
