Just starting Suboxone
So SWIM's been using various opiates for about 2 years now, and lately (last 5 months or so) SWIM started IVing heroin. SWIM comes from a good neighborhood and all that jazz so a lot of shit recently went down when SWIM's friends parents informed SWIM's that SWIM was into a little more than just weed. They kind of flipped their shit, and rightfully so.
Since SWIM is 19 and can get kicked out his parents house, they forced SWIM to go through a program so he can still live with them. Luckily SWIM got to choose and decided to do a 4 month program where he got put on suboxone but also has to go to counseling groups every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday =/
Well anyways, SWIM was prescribed 2 weeks worth of Suboxone to start, 4mg in the morning and another 4mg 12 hours later. A few of SWIMs close friends have also started suboxone treatments and most of them hate it and throw up all the time and say its shitty. Well yesterday was SWIMs first day on it and all SWIM have to say about Subs is positive.
SWIM took 4mg dose at 9AM, SWIM thought SWIM was going to be disappointed after about 2 hours and no effects hit him, probably another 20 minutes later when SWIM was playing resident evil 5, the buprenorphine hit SWIM like a truck at first. For about 2 hours he felt as if he was on a decent amount of percs. SWIM took a nice 3-4 hour nap, probably the best sleep he had gotten in a long time. SWIM woke up feeling kinda dehydrated so he drank a bottle of water and took his second 4mg dose right before leaving to head off to counseling. When SWIM got to his counseling center he threw up all the water that was drunk, no biggie though SWIM's a puking pro so it didn't bother him that much. He went to sleep pretty early for him at like 11pm and got a great night of sleep, SWIM was happily surprised.
When SWIM woke up today he couldn't wait to put that nasty lemon tablet under his tongue. Unfortunately, as he thought would happen; SWIM felt maybe half as good as he did when he took it yesterday and he was ready to re dose way sooner and couldn't wait for the next 4mgs. Now SWIMs sitting here mildly disappointed and scheming up ways to get a bigger dose next time he sees his doctor.
All in all, SWIM thinks suboxone is great, SWIMs not wasting money each day just so he don't feel sick. It has mild effects but they last forever and for him at least SWIM hasnt gotten nauseous much and SWIM gets that social cockiness that he love about opiates.
