harvesting opium from poppies
swim was wondering if he were to try to harvest the opium from poppies how much he could expect to get per pod, just a rough estimate to get a general idea. Also would it be possible to uproot them and harvest or do they need to stay planted for them to push out the love juice
maybe uproot and hang upside down while scoring the buds?

Re: harvesting opium from poppies
As has been answered many times over there is no way to tell how much a pod will bleed. It depends on many factors including latex production and how skilled the person is with pod laceration.
SWIM is very experienced in laceration and has pods that sometimes will hardly bleed at all. Other times he has gained anywhere up to a gram from one pod using consecutive bleeding. They need to stay planted for the latex to flow properly. A pulled plant will bleed but only VERY minimally. Peace
