Drug info - diphenhydramine... Long Weekend Use?

Swim has had a long few days, and sunday night, swim decided to take 700mg of Sleepinol (diphenhydramine). He had an amazing trip and the next day he took 600mg of diphenhydramine. Now today he wants just one more trip before he sets off to his hectic life full of shit and stress and had a few questions:

-is it safe to take this so frequently? (this is swim's last time for a while)
-and also, what would be an adverage overdose for a male around 154lbs so Swim can avoid it?

-Would taking 5-htp (100mg) increase the effectiveness like it does with DXM?

-The second night swim didn't knotice anything comparable to the night before, it was a boring sedated not completely euphoric expirience, what would a minimum (in MG) be to get mild to heavy euphoria and hallucenations (opened/closed)?

first of all you should never take 5-htp with dxm or diph

five htp wont affect diphenhydramine because they act on different neurological pathways. Diphenhydramine should never be taken so frequently as it puts a large strain on the body and tolerance builds rapidly. I have never heard of an experience report of people enjoying themselves off more than eight hundred milligrams of diphenhydramine.

it is best to wait one to two weeks between dosages for full effects to hit swiy each time.

The main thing SWIY needs to worry about taking that large of an amount of anything is causing liver damage. If SWIY takes that much frequently then it will really start causing the liver some trouble when trying to filter stuff out.

Yeah, I need to make sure I don't over do it again, I built up a tolerance last night to the point where it barely hit me at all on 750mg, just mild body feelings. Every time after I do DXM or diphenhydramine I feel a slight pain in my right lower torso the next day, which is where my liver is I suppose, although I haven't been doing anything like this (my first DXM trip back in October) and maybe 3 other DXM trips and roughly 5 Diphenhydramine trips, nor am I a heavy or frequent drinker (1-2 times a month), I will try to prevent such things. Any ideas for Alternative OTC drugs that could possibly give me a trip which does not cause so much damage? (DXM and diphenhydramine are all I've tried OTC wise)

It is best to keep threads devoted to the topic started in the original post. Changing the topic halfway through the thread means that information that could be useful for someone else will be lost forever because that information is in a thread titled something different.

Swiy's problem with diph is not frequency it's quantity. At small doses (say 25 to 50mg every 2-3 hours) diph acts as a pretty decent antidepressant (the only reason it was never approved for this purpose is drowsiness) but massive doses can be toxic for several organs including CNS and since it lowers the seizure threshold quite considerably it can induce severe seizures even in some people who are not epileptics, and each large dose can lower the threshold permanently.

Diph's seizure-inducing profile is very similar to that of promethazine and other phenothiazine drugs used as major tanquilizers. The latter are often administered concomitantly with benzos to prevent medication induced seizures in psychiatric and neurology patients.

If Swiy takes massive doses of diph it would be advised to have short-acting benzos or barbs handy in case things get bumpy, because if things get bumpy on diph it can quickly degenerate into a major medical emergency. Bromazepam is the benzo of choice in such situations if one cannot be taken to a hospital pronto. ER will use IV short-acting barb instead of benzos.

The above applies to a few other antihistamines used recreationally, notably dimenhydrinate and doxylamine but diph is the most potent, along with promethazine in countries where Phenergan is sold OTC (Canada is one).
