Swim has just been wondering, is thee "Psychedelic Guide to the Preparation of the Eucharist" real?. Swim is a college graduate in chemistry, and is now a forensic chemist and was just curious. If this is true, it's actually like baking a cake, although not in a kitchen but in a lab. Swim always wanted to know the real answer. There are millions of books that contain the wrong information of its material needs. This one looks just about close to the real deal. Is it true or false?.

Re: Lsd 25

SWIM says:

Absolutely real. Nothing more than a few simple reactions, some clean-up and re-crystallization. To someone of SWIY's callabre, it would be like making french fries or a peanut butter sandwich.

If SWIY wants to get real picky, they can look at Shulgin's preparation here (which is just about as close to the Sandoz pharmaceutical version as one can get) and it should be in a more suitable language for a person of SWIY's understanding:

Since Peter Brown's book was published in 1967, there are now, newer processes using things like peptide coupling reagents which apparently yield more and are less complex. I have been told stories by very reliable people of batches being made in under 30 hours. But his work was the source for cooks in the late 60's and early 70's and still remains a classic.

Thanks songcycle67. Thee "Psychedelic Guide to the Preparation of the Eucharist" Is very popular, in fact about 60% of its readers don't have a clue about "chemical synthesis". Although years of work in Organic chemistry is required. My words, you don't need a college education. Years of research, containing the right chemicals, materials, you are very close to accomplishing the following project. Its not something you do for fun, its a project. I don't expect anyone to play like "Mozart it may take a while but you don't give up when I'm around.
