Grapefruit Juice & LSA

AFOAF was wondering if drinking grapefruit juice before one consumes LSA containing seeds will help?
They understand how GF Juice effects other compounds in the body and was just wondering it it had the same effect on LSA compounds.
Thanks for the info...(if u reply)

Re: Grapefruit Juice & LSA

I could be wrong, but grapefruit juice probably wouldn't intensify the effects. It acts to inhibit CYP-2D6, the enzyme involved in the metabolism of codeine and DXM, among other things. For codeine, it's bad. Codeine works by being converted by 2D6 to morphine via O-demethylation, which means that if you inhibit this enzyme, you wind up with a lot of codeine and not much morphine-induced fun. For DXM, the O-demethylation converts DXM to DXO, so unless one likes the effects of DXO (SWIM didn't, ugh), it's fan-fucking-tastic.

There's nothing (as far as my memory tells me, anyway) to O-demethylate on the LSA molecule, so I don't think it matters much if you inhibit 2D6 or not.

A certain wonderful-smelling green illegal plant synergizes wonderfully with LSA, or so my rabbit claims. But rabbits aren't subject to our drug laws of course, so no recommendation of illegal activity is being made here.

Re: Grapefruit Juice & LSA

as far as swim knows, grapefruit juice wont potentiate the effects of ergot alkaloids, it works very well with opiates though

swim has tried lsa+vitamin c tbs, took about 400mg but it had no noticable effects on the trip
