Drug info - Today is an amazing day

I have been in the hospital since Tuesday with a crohn's flair up. The GI doctor here refuses to give adequate pain meds even in-patient. So he said he would send the pain clinic people. 3 days later they finally came. Talked to the myesterday and they put me on a clicker to see what my use is, and to come up with a plan. I can get .4mg dilaudid every 6 min. WOW last night was awesome.

So tehy came in today and said based on my usage they are going to put me on Fentanyl patches with 2mg dilaudid for breakthrough pain. Holy mother of god, today is like all of the christmas's I have ever had rolled into one.

As far as my tolerance I could sniff 4mgs of dilaudid and be a happy camper for 4-5 hours. My GI doctors have started to say they cant keep writing perscriptions of this kind without recommendation from a pain clinc, and now I have it!

so excited, now I need to research fentanyl patches cause I have never used them. From what I have read they are kinda potent. I would ahve been fine with a steady script of Dilauded but now I get both. wow wow wow. im excited about my stomach not hurting for a long long long time.

Any recommendations? or use as directed?
