TEK - Converting / cleaning brown - white H

SWIM is still a little too cautious to try H, but he's trying to get some more information on it for when the situation presents itself.

He's been told that he'll most likely end up getting brown H, which is supposedly the freebase form.

How would one go about converting / cleaning this to the white (salt?) form, suitable for snorting?

SWIM thinks this would be way too much effort for a home job, besides SWIY can snort brown gear too, SWIM's friend only used to snort the brown gear found in the UK and preferes it to tooting. OK it may not be as easily absorbed as the white heroin HCL but for all the fucking around, if its even possible, wouldnt be worth the bother. SWIY will still get the effects.

Agreed. I'm surprised how many people don't seem to realise you can snort brown. It's definitely more effective if you disolve it in a little water + citric and snort the water, but the acid will probably fuck up your nose sooner or later so best not to do that too often. If your tolerance is low then snorting the powder should be plenty effective enough.

Its true that snorting Brown is effective, but snorting white H is even more effective.

But saying that, if your opiate naive, it aint gonna make any difference.

SWIM is confused as to why one would need extensive chemistry skills and hard to get reagents to convert the freebase into the HCl salt?

From reading the purification methods in the sticky sections it seems that the last step of adding the hydrochloric acid does the job. Is that correct?

And vice versa could the opposite be done too? Converting #4 to #3 (freebase for smoking) by doing the purification and leaving the last step?

It is possible to further refine brown H#3 into white hydrochloride #4 but you would need decent chemistry skills and some potentially very-hard-to-get-[for your average punter] precursor chemicals, SWIM doesn't think its realistic to actually be doing although (especially as if you were totally commited/serious then youd be hanging out in the chem/tek areas, right?) he has read first-person articles and the like on other forums etc of U.K people regularily doing it and also converting morphine pills.

Anyway if you just want to sniff tackle, why not use regular brown? People say its not water soluble and the like but it does work by shoving it up your nostril, before SWIM was a needle freak he used to snort it quite a lot, often mixed into lines of what he called "Charlie Browns" which were a mix of coke/H and were essentially just an insufflated speedball.

One thing SWIM will add though is that when snorted, brown H really doesnt have the nicest taste and the drip into your throat is equally rank. Its probably that reason that snorting H in this country isnt that popular.

If you just wanna clean up your brown then SWIM is pretty sure there is a thread on DF that explains how to wash it, check the stickys or UTFSE. And if you have just got a major hard-on for H#4 then rejoice, as it is supposedly making a comeback in the U.K, in which case you, I and everyone else will be over the fucking moon!Literally.

The simplest way would be to add citric acid to the brown stuff so it dissolves then shoot it.

First off swiy should be aware that in the bag which may weigh 100mg only 10mg will be real H. This small ammout of reactant will be very easy to loose while preforming chemistry experiments on it and swiy will most likely end up with nothing at all.
