2-[(1R,3S)-3-hydroxycyclohexyl]-5-(2-methyloctan-2-yl)phenol

CP 47,497 is a drug which is a cannabinoid receptor agonist, developed by Pfizer in the 1980s.[1] It has analgesic effects and is used in scientific research. It is a potent CB1 agonist with a Ki of 2.1nM.

On the 19th of January 2009, the University of Freiburg in Germany announced that an analog of CP 47,497 is the main active ingredient in the herbal "incense" product Spice, specifically the 1,1-dimethyloctyl homologue of CP 47,497. The 1,1-dimethyloctyl homologue of CP 47,497 is in fact several times more potent than the parent compound,[8] which is somewhat unexpected as the 1,1-dimethylheptyl is the most potent substituent in classical cannabinoid compounds such as HU-210.

SWIM and rodents experimented with this before. They took ~10mg in a cap and had no effects except feeling like having a common cold the next day.

However, when freebased it produced way more effects. SWIM freebased ~40mg and couldn't get off the couch.

Not something SWIM is interested in, but decent for experimentation.

Can you please explain the method by which this compound was "freebased"? Was a conversion employed prior to heat/inhalation, or was the compound simply heated to a point of vaporization? This dose seems very high considering the binding affinity of this compound and the doses required for comparable, or similarly active compounds.

The compound was heated under flame on aluminum foil until it turned into a liquid and vaporized.

Yes, this was a very high dose and I wouldn't suggest it as a beginning.

Seems there's precious little information out there on this one as far as trip reports or dosage, which is bizarre because it's suddenly gotten quite easy to acquire (not in spice, but in the raw form).

Anyone have any ideas what is an average dosage range?

I would say, with the method I described above, average doses would be anywhere from 5mg - 15mg.

Not much in the way of physical effects that I can recall. Mainly the odd feeling of having a common cold was the worst. The next day feeling overall like you might have been out drinking and need some headache medicine. This was all from the oral doses.

what i the dose range on this one?
The JWH018 seems to be in the 2-3 mg range vaporized.
The other CP version of this was very long in duration as well how does this compare?
