Romberg Internal Clock: Drug Test

I was reading that "concept of time" thread in insights, and it reminded me of something I've been curious about for a while.

A more literal concept of time topic...

In school we learned about the Romberg internal clock... this is the ability to percieve time correctly. Pretty much everyone is more than capable of being reasonably accurate with it. The Romberg internal clock test is a test that is taught to medical professionals and members of law enforcement to give them some idea (along with other signs) if their subject is under the influence, and what type of drug they are under the influence of.

Basically, they get the subject to close his eyes and tilt his head back, and then let the tester knowwhen 30 seconds are up. The tester times how long the subject believes is 30 seconds, and interprets the results as follows:

The general theory is that if the subject called time significantly earlier than the actual 30s, they were on a stimulant, and if it was significantly longer than 30s they were on a sedative/alcohol/psychedellic.

I am wondering how many people this is true for... and in normal settings the oppertunity to get people on drugs is kind of difficult... not to mention the more obscure ones thatthedevious SWIM alwaysseems to beusing.

Anyways, you all may have heard of someone who has tried the test and told you the drug they were on and results... in which case it'd be cool ifsaid resultswere posted so I could satisfy my curiosity!

I was planning on trying something like this with salvia, because salvia completely fucks with time in a way unlike any other drug.

Yeah that'd be a pretty good one to try... This'll be interesting if we get enough people in on it!

I can't standhow with so many medical tests/procedures ect. they generalize and lump drugs into broad categories, when simply learning about whats out there and the characteristics of some of the more frequently used ones would provide so much better understanding and patient care... if anything they could talk on the same level as their patients a little better... When you think about it, if they are lumping a bunch of the psychedellics together and applying the same treatment for all (especially with all of the RCs showing up these days), they could run into some problems physically, as well as mentally. I mean, even between the various RCs, there are huge differences in the underlying hostility and paranoia the user experiences, and that's when he's comfortable and NOT being scared out of his wits at the hospital.

I know quite a few medical professionals in various fields such as doctors, paramedics, ect. and I'll talk to them abouta drugthat would be totally common knowledge to even a n00b here, and they have never even heard about it before. I dunno, that's been bothering me since I did the street drugs portion of my schooling back in the day... had to rant a little bit.

Oh yeah, the reason I was posting again in the first place... I found a website detailing the various tests forsuspectedDUIs. The Romberg test is at the bottom.
