Chewed my tongue bloody?

Well yesterday, SWIM got some pills and ended up eating two and giving two away to friends. Everything was fun, until about five or six hours in, when swim started pushing his gum away and chewing on his tongue for hours.

Now he has a few knots on/in his tongue. It also has a little split down the middle that bled slowly for an hour.

Would anyone have advice on what he should do to recuperate his poor tongue?

Ooops, Mod change the thread title?

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Rinse your mouth out with salt water a few times a day and don't eat anything that would damage your tongue further. See a doctor if you think it's infected.

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

^ Yup.

Tongues are highly vascular and heal pretty quickly. As long as infection doesn't set in, SWIMs tongue should be feeling better in a few days. Try the salt and keep SWIY's mouth clean in the meantime. Listerine a few times a day if SWIY can stand it.

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Ouch! I agree with the salt water suggestion. Most important keep you hands any from it. Leave it alone so it can heal. It's sometimes hard to ressist the urge to keep messing with it. SWIM has done simular damage while on MDMA. She has found that Mc Donald's straws are quite handy to prevent personal injury due to mastication. She now keeps a stash in the house and a few in the car for such ocassions. SWIM has found gum does not work well as it tends to break down over the night and get caught in her teeth. Hard candy is another good fix. With the applified sense of taste one should stick to something without an over powering flavor or sweetness as this can cause some nausea. Hope your feeling better soon.

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Thank you for the salt water suggestion. It is helping wonderfully. SWIM thinks next time he will just go for those straws.

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Perhaps swiY should consider getting a pacifier. BTW it is definitely better in all cases to chew on swiY's tongue than it is to grind on her teeth. The tongue heals, the teeth just get weak and crooked and makes swiY's jaws/teeth hurt like hell the next day.

Better the tongue than the alternative

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Swim has heard that taking a magnesium supplement before rolling can reduce or eliminate jaw clenching while rolling. Swim does not know the exact dose of magnesium but it has been covered on this forum before so utfse.

Re: Chewed my tongue bloody?

Julian, SWIM heard that too, so he went to Wally World and bought the biggest bottle of multi-vitamins that he could find.
Now he'll never have to worry about his As, Bs, and Cs.

On a little side note, is it just SWIM, or are others not getting a change if they smoke green while they roll?
