How to walk the line?

So SWIM has been diagnosed with PTSD about a year ago after many years of combat in the military. After many trials of SNRIs NNRIs MAOs Tricyclics, Swim has been prescribed 5mg of Ritalin 3x a day. Swim is defiantly looking for some more focus and concentration since he is in the middle of a pre-med program, BUT SWIM has been reading about the great use of ritalin to stay up longer and get some hardcore studying/partying done. Sim has heard 40mg is the best recreational dosage. Any other advice on how to walk the fine line of using this medication to get normalized and a little bit extra for recreational use?
