St johns wort

Swim wasnt to sure were to post this ...Swim recently picked up some St johns wort but in a "tincture" liquid, ( just concentrated stuff)Swim took it to help him relax, sleep, mood booster... etc.Swim added 20 drops like the bottle said to some water and drank it ( not bad taste)5 - 10 minutes later Swim felt better, energy, relaxation ( but nothing too extreme), but this is were the weirdness kicked in... DIARRHEA!..Swim ran to the washroom, he wasnt in pain, he just really had to go,.. Swim was like that for half of the day.Was this some kind of odd reaction to SJW? Because swim really enjoyed the GOOD part of it. Has anyone else experienced this "side effect" ??
