well depending on exactly what you were given, swiy might expect to feel very awake/alert. speed isnt exactly a "high", its more of a pep up.

if/when swiy comes down, they will be just a little more tired/lethargic than normal.

SWIM hasn't used coke before so he can't compare the two, but SWIY can expect increased energy levels and general enthusiasm for things that normally wouldn't interest SWIY, such as working and cleaning, depressed appetite, increased mental alertness and difficulty sleeping. SWIM really likes it, even though it has a reputation for being something of a 'dirty drug', whatever that means

I guess because people feel that they can't function without it. It's probably a case of circular logic though - they binge on speed to get them through the day, then can't sleep at night and have to take more the following day to combat their tiredness.

I forgot to mention that SWIM also experiences mdma-like rushes from speed.

What are you talking about? Swim feels like he can't function without them. But they definitely give a high. They enhance music profoundly and they do something to his vision. It has weedlike effects in a sense. Swim would much rather take adderall than smoke weed or do coke. One of swim's friends described his first buzz off it as 'pure euphoria.' and said after a while it goes away and he just gets focused from it.

By the way, if they're adderall it's pretty easy to tell. What's it look like? The capsules even say what they are and how much is in them. And the IR generics have the dose on one side and they taste sickeningly sweet.

in the UK speed comes in illegal powder/paste. It is more rare that it's prescribed than in the US I think. So therefore it is v unlikely to be a pill

SWIY should not take pills if SWIY doesn't know what they are.

(Now SWIM feels like a nerd for nagging people on the drugs forum. But seriously, it's not difficult to find pill descriptions online.)

Assuming they are Adderall, SWIY should feel similarly "high" (possibly higher, depending on dose) but more tweaky and less elated. In SWIM's opinion, coke is for having a good time with friends... And Adderall is for having a good time with really smart, reclusive friends who spend all night working on their computers OR organizing their junk drawers OR other similarly silly yet productive tasks.

For what it's worth, SWIM has done coke but never developed a habit because A) she doesn't like snorting stuff, B) it's too expensive, and C) she is head-over-heels in love with productivity and coke, while fun, doesn't make her want to scrub stains out of the carpet.

Adderall (or Dexedrine, or ice) is "SWIY, but better," in SWIM's opinion.

Yeah but the OP said he thought it was adderall. So it could be some form of prescription speed there. Or somebody pressed the powder into a pill.
