Effects - is dihydrocodeine more effective than codeine?

is dihydrocodeine more effective than codeine?

swim knows that dihydrocodeine is in some otc painkillers but is a hell of a lot more exspensive due to being a brand name (paramol) where as the chemists own brand painkillers that just contain codeine are cheaper.swim wanted to know is this dihydrocodeine stuff the same ingrediant as viocodine has?
also is it better than codeine to be worth the extra money?
